  1. After hearing this mans story, I filed public records requests for documentation.  As you can see by the cities response, not a single record exists of this incident.

  2. they never thought that this guy would ever come back and complain ..good job on helping this poor guy out. keep us updated

  3. Can you post the entire verbiage you used for the request of records? I see most of it, but some seems to be cut off. Thanks! Subscribed and a thumbs up!

  4. I know somebody that happened to. Medical/campus cops drove 30 miles outside of their jurisdiction and busted down his door (he flipped them off before). Brought in SWAT, searched his house and locked his dog up for three days.

  5. That is fucking crazy! And I DON'T mean this unfortunate man! THIS is why you film all interactions with the police!

  6. Do you have the plate number from the hit & run? I would love to see who that plate comes back to. Thanks to anyone helping this man!!

  7. You should request the lobby video of the incident, identify the officers involved, and request thier video and audio recorders. All the reason why you should record your incounters.

  8. Seems very ridiculous that they would waste so much resources doing a 5150 hold on a man simply for asking "for someone in charge". There has got to be more to this story.

  9. The police are NOT your friend. They are an armed and extremely dangerous gang of thugs. Call them, or go to the police station at your own risk.

  10. I wonder what benefit these officers obtained by acting in such a corrupt way. Unless this man is really so mentally disabled that his story is really fiction.

  11. "…..and that's the way you're going to treat me?" Yeah, that's what we pay the cops for. Don't like the service? Stop paying for it!

  12. Comrade Brezhnev salutes the Torrance Police Department's Soviet Psychiatry methods!
    /wiki/Political_abuse_of_psychiatry_in_the_Soviet_Union
He'll probably have to pay an inflated hospital bill too, like the 3 innocent people in New Mexico who got colonoscopies because the cops were sure they'd hidden drugs up their old address.

  13. So… let's now:
    1. Vehicular Assault
    2. Leaving the scene of an accident without filing a report
    3. Kidnapping
    4. Filing a false report
    5. CA Welfare & Institutions Code, DIVISION 5, PART 1, ARTICLE 6 [5550] – Obstruction of Patient's Rights
    6. 18 U.S. Code § 242 – Deprivation of rights under color of law

    Code:

    (e) Any person or facility found in violation of subdivision (b) or (d) shall pay a civil penalty, as determined by a court, of not less than one hundred dollars ($100), or more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) which shall be deposited in the county general funds.

18 U.S. Code § 242 – Deprivation of rights under color of law

  14. You know, there is a possibility he's crazy and the reason there are no records are because it never happened.

  15. Did the guy have documents from the hospital? Maybe if he signs a waiver allowing you to be obtain the medical records from this incident? He can sue them (Torrance PD)…..I hope you are not done with this case…..

  16. If he was held for 72hrs in a mental hospital, then there must be a hospital record and a doctor's MSE (Mental State Examination) report signed by the examining doctor. I'm not sure if you can request that information, but the man concerned certainly can, as well as his release form.

  17. Cowardly cops that don't actually want to do their super duper dangerous occupations and protect and serve the community.
They only like to bully, extort, assault and batter, in addition to committing many more felonies in the pursuit of self grandiosity.
Every officer involved in this doesnt deserve jail, they clearly deserve a retirement bullet.

  18. If his story is true (questionable), it would prove that you should be live streaming every time you interact with government agents.

  19. It's sad that this day of age, someone from YouTube who volunteers to do community services for free is more efficient than the public servants themselves.

  20. I'm not making a judgement but on the surface his story sounds bogus. If something did occur, there is more to it then this gentleman explained. FOIA for his hit skip report.
