I only violated one law, Torrance Municipal Code 62.1.4  – Riding on a sidewalk in a business district.  I have been violating this law daily for 17 years.   Everyone in Torrance violates this law.  We do it for our own safety.  I have told the Torrance police they can ticket me anytime they want.  They always refuse.  I didn't violate any California Vehicle Codes.   I don't need a rear light.  I didn't ride against the flow of traffic in the road.   These cops need to learn the law and apply it equally or they need to STFU.

  4. Just as a suggestion, you might make friends with Torrance PD, honestly, if you did, your channel could still do very well or better. It's like a "friends of cops" channel. These guys (cops) would invite you to their BBQ's and you'd have lots of fun…I promise you.

  13. I'll put my two cents in… These police only confront these auditors because they get nervous when they see the cameras (that they don't control). His words (cop), 'sneaking up on people.' So, they're aware they're being watched and don't like it.

  25. Katman, I have heard that these lower level offenses (jaywalking, smoking,PC148,etc) are known as "humble offenses" as the officer cited you to "humble you". You can look this definition up with an internet search of "urban expressions"

    A charge given by a police officer, not meant to stick but to give a corner boy or known criminal a hard time. Or humble/ quiet their wrong doings. From the urban dictionary.

    I look at the salary (I am in my mid 60's now) and I get jealous (I was a mechanic for GM and BMW). I worked darn hard for 25% of what is shown, those figures were so out of reach for me, and I actually fixed things. I got into the bottom 50's yearly but that was by flagging a lot of hours and that meant being there a lot of hours. Many times around the lunch table we would discuss the question "would you want you son to be an auto mechanic" no one said "yes". It appears going into police work pays. There is a sign on the Metro Link train that I take into LA to see the doctor, it is a LA Airport Police recruiting poster. On the poster it is described how you could be making 100K at the end of your second year. That is good money, I don't care what you say.
