The last time I went to this park to film a recovery scene I was denied access because I didn’t have a press pass. Other people with press passes were allowed in. This time I show my press pass to LAPD but they say it doesn’t matter.

When they are staging a "crime scene" they don't want some freelance reporter CONTRADICTING what they want to push on the people as real. They want people to BELIEVE, not KNOW what did or did not happen. . I understand where both parties are coming from. He has a right to film & the police are trying to keep the looky lous from filming deceased persons whose loved ones may not even be aware they're deceased & haven't yet been notified. I would actually support a law that says public dissemination of such material would be unlawful unless there were a specific good & or need to know by the public.
