Myself and Tom Zebra were riding our bikes through El Segundo. We were talking about how police consider a person riding two bikes to be suspicious and probable cause for a stop. I told him I wanted to get a quick video clip of him riding two bikes passed me so I gave him my bike. He was riding about 10-15 seconds and El Segundo Police pulled him over. At first I thought they were joking and they just wanted to say hi.
Personally I found the whole encounter to be hilarious and I think Tom Zebra did too.

  7. If anyone is suspicious, it's cops! It takes this many cops to stop ONE guy on a bike??? Give me a break. This cop is a real dope. He say's "you may have a point"…..Hey cop, if you don't know the law thoroughly, don't stop and hassle citizens!

  11. always thought if you had a headlight, Hallogen OR LED, a rear light, and two reflectors, one on each wheel + a helmet you'd be AOK, but even with all that, I am still always a little timid about riding at night, these cops even in my home city, like to stop you for even the smallest things, I even had one of those special MINI lights that you attach to your wheel's Valve stem, so when the tries turn, the whole inside of the wheel lights up, they said I couldnt have that so I had to remove those……

I just got stopped by an officer while riding my bike cause of no brakes is that legal for him to do.also after running my name and says I can go.he then says if he can see the tattoo on my neck is that relevant to why he stopped me.then I ride off and the officer passes me waits at the stop sign I pass him he then drives up about half a block waits for me he pretty much follows me to make sure I go home is that legal for him to do.

    Well tell him to put a reflector on it next year!” And fines her $5.
    The little girl looks up at the cop and says, “Nice horse you’ve got there, did Santa bring you that?”

  24. Couple years ago I bought a bike at a thrift store and I had to get it home by bike and though I did not got pulled over by the police I did had a lot of drivers yelled 'stolen bike!'.

  38. I had police stop me last for not a rear light, told officer it was stolen. Cars and bikes are different. Car lights are not likely to be stolen. Bike light are stolen and bike lights run on batteries our lights die fast. One day I had both lights on my bike, police force me to ride on sidewalk. Police make law out of thin air.

  42. You obviously organized this to get the attention of the police, and it worked. So, good job on that. I would advise you to have the 2nd bike fully legal if you are going to do this again.

  43. stupid thing is this has happened several times to me in the sgv area… wearing all black bulky clothes and a balaclava in 45° weather with your bikes front and rear light strobing while you stop in a park near a street is suspicious enough for a unmark car to cut you off almost making you hit it, the reason being suspicious at that time of day
