At about 1am a driver heading eastbound on Pacific Coast Highway crashed into vehicles stopped for the DUI checkpoint. One person was injured and taken by ambulance to the hospital.
The driver, an elderly male, was administered field sobriety tests and was not arrested.

The guy who rear-ended everyone (including the nice looking woman in red…excuse the pun) should at the very least be forced to give up his driving privileges and use ride sharing options like Lyft or Uber. For not drinking 24 beers and causing all that carnage, he is a really bad driver. You stay thirsty my friend.

Making an elderly man do the FST is ridiculous not just because hes old and coordination skills just arent good anymore especially right after a car accident where your body's already pumping that adrenaline and your shaking hearts beating fast as hell scared and wired no time to do a FST…just cause you get in an accident doesnt mean your drunk they happen everyday all the time to sober people… hes an old man probably just tired wasnt expecting to see a line full of stopped cars having their rights violated…its a terrible situation and I hope everyones ok that was involved
