  1. Hey Chris ever work on VW New Beetle? My VW did a total blackout on me. No lights, No Crank, No radio, just totally dead. Where would you look first? Battery has juice, alternator works. Nobody wants to work on VW. Its a manual transmission. You are so amazing with cars. Thanks for putting out the vids.

  2. I know your vid has been posted for more than 5 years if i’m right 😂 but this helped my 97 civic ex 2d to run again by fixing the timing. Thank you!!!

  3. I dont know how someone can call themselves a mechanic by trade, and they couldn't figure out how to get the car running. I understand that the neighbor didn't want to put any more money trying to get it running, but my goodness, i would have made myself go back to school again.

  4. Compression was the most critical/Underrated part of this… Bad Compression = Bad Engine… Once the compression is good, everything else is relatively easy… At least cost wise… Nice fix I was assuming it was like a ‘94 or ‘95 from the interior… Especially the ac unit… Nice fix… I had a 99 civic n a 94 civic…. Checking the timing this way was way easier than using that timing gun that flashes

  5. I’m surprised that none of the valves were damaged considering the camshaft was 180 degrees out. Unless of course that is a non interference engine.

  6. I don't know if the engine is interference type; but if it is, I am surprised there was no engine damage since the crankshaft and camshaft were totally out of sync.
