Whoever investigated this did a poor job. If she had an accomplice, they didn't look for him or her. They automatically thought she did it alone. If she is innocent, then they needed more evidence.

How could they use the interview of the friend about what time he dropped her off, when he died before her trial, making it impossible for the defense to cross examine him? I just watched another case you covered, in another state, where a witness died before a trial, so the prosecutor couldn't use anything he told them, in the trial, since the defense couldn't cross examine him! Is it up to every state to decide whether or not, information from a witness can be used, if they die before trial, and the opposing side can't cross examine them?
It seems crazy that it would be allowed in, and the jury can be mislead by it, like what happened in this case.
Did the defense or prosecutor try to get video from any of the bars, to see if the clothing she had on, was what she was wearing all day, and when she entered her house and discovered her boyfriend? It seems they were lazy, and decided since they argued, she killed him, so they didn't investigate at all!
She should file a lawsuit for false arrest, failure to investigate, misconduct, and being lazy!!!

Now if you say to that Judge hey I know I’ve done a terrible thing of murdering that person but I hear you’re a good judge and so I know you’ll be fair to me…… the judge is going to reply well yes you’re right about one thing I am a good judge and because I’m a good judge I’m going to see to it that you’re punished and that justice is served! Well then all of a sudden someone you don’t even know comes forward and says you know what I know he’s committed the crime he’s committed and he deserves to go to jail but I really don’t want to see him go to prison so I’ll just go to prison for him so he can go free! So if you accepted that offer you’d be free to leave the courtroom but if you didn’t well you’d be crazy and go to prison yourself! Well that’s exactly how it was 2,000 years ago! He is God in human flesh and he came to this earth lived a perfect sinless life and even though he knew that we had sinned and because of our sins deserved to die miserably but he said no I don’t want to see them suffer so I will go and take their punishment for them! Even though he did absolutely nothing wrong still he chose to take the punishment for our sins so we can be set free from the power bondages and consequences of our disobedience to God! Romans 5:8 says For God commends his love toward us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us! 1 John 2:2 says he was made to be the propitiation for our sins! And not just for our sins but the sins of the whole world! 2 Corinthians 5:21 He who knew no sin became Sin for us that we would be made his righteousness! The truth is if you had to get to Heaven by your own effort then you cannot do it! Because Romans 3:10 says there is not one that does good! No Not One! Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death! But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord! But the good news is Romans 10:9 If we confess with our mouth and believes in our hearts that Christ died for our sins then was raised from the dead we will be saved! And because God is a good God he cannot allow our disobedience to him to go unpunished! And also like I said he died a terrible substitute criminal’s death for us on a cross so now all we have to do is accept that payment for our sins and we can escape the terrible wrath of God that is to fall on them who do not accept this atonement that was sacrificed for our sins! Praise the lord Romans 10:13 says Whoever calls on the name of the lord shall be saved! And 1 Peter 1:4 you’re an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you! Christ clearly said in John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the father but through me! Acts 4:12 clearly states that there is no other name given unto Heaven or earth by which we must be saved as there is salvation in no other! There's so much here it boggles the mind. If she did anything at all clearly there'd be forensic evidence as a bare minimum. I think he walked in on someone already in the house. He admitted that he slept with his ex thats the reason why she left for the evening to cool down.
BTW being a nurse doesn't mean anything, at a time like that many medical professionals (Dr's, nurses, sisters midwifes etc) go into SHOCK and can't do a damned thing to their own loved one, it's natural. You know the saying if Johnny next door cut himself badly I could clean it up, but if it's my own child I can't do it because there's emotional feelings there that change the "think straight process" . That's just life.

Wait wait wait she testified that she left with another guy, went to his house for a jacuzzi and sex , upon return found Ozzie dead , that's love my life activity ? Technically there is no evident that she did it or was involved. But there's a history of over drinking and physical aggression. Interesting that the jacuzzi comes into play, what is a jacuzzi but a large bathtubs, add detergent and its washing machine, any blood mist or droplets on cloths or person would be destroyed, then cloths dried and redressed back to the scene. Time window is very small, less than 3 hours, returning to find body. Jeff leaves again from house before emergency response, 2 opportunities to remove items. No blood found on her clothes. Attack indicates a female because of the number of blows to kill the subject… its all up in the air, but all things don't fit, you must acquit. Very smart what she did in the interrogation room, the portrayal it priceless, she's way ahead game… but she's not asking herself who could have possibly done this act, then pulls out the poison pen letter from Ozzie's X, threatening her, but that woman had solid alibi. She just happens to leave at a critical window, emergency aid felt Ozzie had been dead at least an hour… Kim is strong mentally, she could be part of 50% that can pass a lie detector test, plus how many people do you know that can consume 22 ounces of alcohol at party till 2. And look at her during this interview, strong as rock, not an emotional gulp, a tear , nothing but purpose. And the covienant death of Jeff. She was a nurse, she claims to put down her jacket and attend to Ozzie, well then it would make sense to find blood on her and her cloths… nagging inconsistencies. She didn't choke up when talking about Ozzie, but does show tears about missing her children, nothing about Ozzie's children's feeling or concerns, after all their father is gone and nobody knows who came by at that critical time window to take his life.

No matter what you feel like she did, they didn't have evidence to convict her. 1st trial hung, 2nd trial the judge said she should have been innocent, then she's released by the courts? Blaming people's behavior, which can run any way possible, isn't an exact science and isn't admission of guilt. Oh, and human bodies make all kinds of noises after they're dead, gross and scary, yeah, death rattle because they are still alive, not necessarily.
