Brain Man: The Boy Genius With The Incredible Brain – Everything Law and Order Blog

An extraordinary documentary on the brainpower of Daniel T, the young Englishman who could be the world’s greatest mental athlete. Daniel is not just a calculating wizard, but also a memory champion and super linguist.

He speaks nine languages. Daniel, the oldest of seven children, has been able to do amazing calculations after an epileptic fit when he was 3 years old. He was even able to remember over 22,000 numbers in a public display of his ability. But how does he do it? Leading scientists explore the extraordinary world of this real-life Rainman. Daniel’s psychological make-up is explored by Cambridge University autism expert Professor Simon Baron Cohen who delves into his childhood experiences in an effort to explain his remarkable abilities. In America Daniel meets other extraordinary people like himself, known as “savants” — including Kim Peek, whose story was the basis of the movie “Rainman”. Brain scientists at the Salk Institute in San Diego, including Professor V S Ramachandra, are astounded at his skills and discover the key to Daniel’s ability is his visual imagery which his brain “sees” when he hears a number, this condition is known as synaesthesia. To show it’s not just numbers Daniel can remember — he also learns one of the world’s hardest languages, Icelandic, in just one week — and gets interviewed on Icelandic TV after only 7 days of learning to speak it.

  1. This has always been one of my favourite songs of all time. This version took me to CHURCH!! So much soul. This is what a great cover should do, elevate the song to something magical. I'm a fan 😄❤

  2. By my calculations, my IQ is significantly higher – likely due to the fact that I’m neurodiverse; undiagnosed ADHD, BPD and MSNBC.

I’ve actually had more than 10 COVID booster vaccines because my brain is able to calculate the risks and I’m an atheist.

I went to a significantly better university too (Wolverhampton>Oxford) which is the world leader in high IQ.

  3. I can calculate so fast n accuracy is beyound this world ,i just turned 40 n i never was good at saying n pronouncing words n spelling i am quite surpised on how well n do have the knowledge n ability to spell n n use large words in any sentence that is accurate to the proper grammar in type of situation n i can go into my mind as if it were a filing cabinet n when i want to have it come to actual memory n recall it i have adhd n autism i lack social skills n can say in a self closed in room n find always the abilities to keep myself occupied n productive n never ever lonely i can throw something at any target i want to with a mathematical accuracy everytime without fail i see everything through numbers at all times

  4. Im sure I’m reaching….but did it say this was from 2000? Because when he got to NYC, he said he kept looking up at the buildings and seeing 9s and I immediately got goosebumps and thought of 9/11.

  5. In the New Paradise, we will all have what is called "blended senses"… God is allowing some people to see this now..

  6. This means these people weren’t born with these geniuses…. Which means it’s possible for everyone to be brilliant

  7. I knew a 6 yr old girl who was able to compute her answers without any hesitation- truly astounding , she was much faster than this young man, but perhaps Daniel is older. I do think he is amazing. My Swedish learning has been 5 yrs and unable to still master the language. I’ve no one to converse with.

  8. im a bit of a dummy that fell out of a tree when and broke both both my arms and stayed asleep long enough for my friend to tell my mom I was dead, to live on and find a shiny rock from the ocean that I refused to let go of while being taken by a riptide, which I barley lived. All while bearing the mark of voldamort for walking into a wall when I was a baby. But anyways, I can remember any sound I care for to the point of every noise of entire albums, even hypnotizing myself in the process. When hypnotized, a noise like a fan will turn into the noise that I was thinking about. I also see the blue/purple flames one person spoke of that turn into sparks, but idk wtf that is and I have never told anyone in my family, or really anyone about it. I figured it was my hyper brain calming down, but ya boy walks into walls too much to say whats going on.

  9. I've experienced that if I don't "try" too hard to think about things, solutions come very easily, quickly and naturally. I can repeat patterns I've only briefly seen, as long as I just "go for it" instead of actively "trying" to remember it. Basically I have to not give myself time to second guess something that feels akin to an intuition.
But it's super hard to allow that to happen consciously and let that state of mind flow, the moment you control or check your result, it's gone and the mind easily wanders and wants to be in control.

I believe this guy has a natural ability to trust what his subconscious is telling him.

I wish it's something I could figure out how to tap into on demand, it's such a useful ability.
