Elizabeth Smart seems like such a kind and decent person. Very brave young woman who rose above victimhood and now fights for others who have had similar experiences. Beautiful lady inside and out.
Elizabeth is such an amazing woman. I love her work, especially involving the idea of purity and stereotypes of women's virginity that is pushed in a lot of cultures. The amount of partners a woman has slept with says nothing about her value, and anyone who "shut shames" should be ashamed.
Elizabeth interviews all the survivors like a friend who completely understand what were they through.

The honor code is not the problem, the problem is not keeping to the code and not caring when others break it either. Take the first girl, she should have got him kicked out for groping her and pressuring her to have sex with him. With the second girl, she shouldn't have been in his place according to the code.
Sadly, there is no way to fairly prosecute a rape that won't take a toll on victims of rape. You can't just take their word as the truth and punish guys without due process. If an accusation is made, it has to be substantiated and that is going to be unpleasant for a woman who was raped. And if in the process it turns up that she broke some rules too, then she'll have to face the consequences of that. Anytime you do things you shouldn't you make yourself vulnerable to manipulation or intimidation

Women, quit using the University System to get justice. Go, to, the, Police. Don't trivialize rape, you're not doing anyone any favors. You're denying yourself far better resources to help you through the trauma and it is the only way to get a rapist off the streets.
These guys should have been arrested for Moose hunting out of season!
