Bodycam shows a 27-year-old DUI suspect surprising Ohio police when he performs a backflip during a sobriety test. The Broadview Heights Police Department said that although the officers were impressed, they believed Tanner Watson was intoxicated based on their observations. Field sobriety tests are never to help prove a driver is sober enough to drive. Their sole purpose is to enable the “fact finders (aka cops) collect evidence of a DUI.
What is really the purpose of field sobriety tests when we have breathalyzers, which are scientifically proven to be more accurate? Should be illegal.
This dude drunk af.
"Do I have to raise my voice even higher?!" is an intimidation check you don't want to roll during a traffic stop.
Had an uncle get out of a DWI back in the 90's because he walked on his hands for about 20 feet, turned and walked back to the officer on his hands. Cop let us go. This was about 4pm and my uncle had already drank close to 2 pints of whiskey since 11am that day.
Freddy Mercury back from the dead! And doing backflips!!
Not a bright guy
theres no backflip noob
Ron Jeremy on a parallel universe 😮
This dude is going screw things up for everybody! If turning a backflip is adopted into the Field Sobriety Test, I will be up a creek without a paddle.
Gestapo is always believed no matter if you are drunk or SOBER…their word…they need that quota and get rewarded either way. You just don't want to get pulled over by Gestapo
Omg this guy can do a backflip on his own, but can't walk in a straight line?? Lol omg all he had to do was walk straight. I had a feeling he was going to jail anyways . I never once seen someone pass a dui test. They will keep messing with you until you fail. Same with permission to search your car. They will search it anyways.
Very few people can do a road side gymnastics test on the spot, in the dark on uneven ground.
And thats what it is, it's a gymnastics test and 99% of people will fail it every time even when sober.
🤣🤣 I give that backflip an 8…..he didn’t quite stick the landing.
Never agree to field sobriety testing and never talk to cops, honesty is not the best policy….
Refuse sobriety tests always, then they’ll take you to get your blood tested. If your only buzzed it’ll buy you some time at minimum
enjoy dui d a
Looks drunk as a skunk, whats the issue?
Tanner lowkey doin to much😂 bro is makin it difficult for himself
Cool story: when I was 16 or so; my mom went to get breakfast at Hardee's and within three hours hadn't returned.
A police officer knocked on the door to inform me of that she feel asleep at the drive-thru and obviously arrested; but I was afraid to open the door because I was used to eviction notices from the cops.
I feel bad because he was doing a common courtesy; I only learned the details when she was bailed out.
Left foot, right foot, left foot… if you can't do that…. unless you only have 1 leg, we have a problem….
Just based on how he speaks and acts I'd say he is .235.
Coming from Europe this whole procedure seems pretty bizzare to me. Why doesnt he just test levels of alcohol with a tester? Is this a standard procedure in US?
Don't play the game with them
Who’s gonna look him up on Facebook? 😂😂😂 😵💫🍺🍻
When he asked about time limits, the officer was wrong. For instance, in some states where I've worked in law enforcement, you only have 20 minutes if that person isn't in custody.
based
He is not laughing at you to be nice, every thing u say will be used against you! You were going to be arrested by these aholes the second he stopped you!!
WHAT IS OBI: even the cop doesnt know lol 8:26
Tanner had great questions.
Still waiting to see the video where someone "passes" the field sobriety test.
@RileySavage this you bro?
Why don't police have sidewalk chalk or something to draw a line for the field sobriety test? My legs and back got mangled in an accident so I can't really walk in a straight line sober. It would help a ton if they picked somewhere with a line or drew it. That imaginary line can be wherever the cop wants it. I hate drunk drivers but at the same time don't wanna see an innocent disabled person like me to get in trouble for nothing.
He should of just followed every order without questioning the officer and he would have been fine lol
Off course it’s a Dodge Ram. Quick lesson: Dodge Ram trucks are one of the most likely vehicles to be pulled over for DUI
Goofy man lol
Only in Ohio smh
remain silent, always.
Straight out of Reno 911
There's an easy way to avoid all of this, people shouldn't drink alcohol at all, problem solved…!!!
Admitting to having "Three or four" beers was his 2nd mistake. Driving after those was his 1st.
They just doing that to find fault on him.
he can't even talk !
He seems smarter than the average American to me.
He’s cute.
This is deliberate harassment of a human being!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fun fact my friend tried this and they actually let him go. Could be also that he is the son of a SWAT officer…
Of course they should have arrested him. They didn't tell him to do a back-flip, did they ?
By the way did he end up being over the legal limit ?
Why are you not telling us ?
ps, why was he only charged with DUI , and not also with speeding ?
I dont drink and dui tests are such bs.
I swear I just watched him in a jubilee video of men feminists and anti-feminists 😂
