Frederick, Maryland — On Saturday, March 4, 2023, at approximately 6:20 p.m., three officers with the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to an apartment in the 1500 block of N. East Street to find a man with an open probation violation warrant who was believed to be at that location. When the officers arrived, the apartment’s resident denied that the man, 44-year-old Joseph Sherril was present, but allowed officers to come inside and search for him. Inside the apartment, one officer found Sherril hiding in a bedroom closet and armed with a knife. Officers began speaking with Sherril, giving him commands to “drop the knife,” while backing away from him into the apartment’s living room. Sherril then rapidly moved toward one of the officers with the knife held out in front of him. At that point, two of the officers discharged their firearms, striking Sherril. Officers called for EMS and performed CPR, and Sherril was later pronounced dead on scene. A knife was recovered near Sherril at the shooting scene. No officers were injured.

  1. I'm fully convinced everyone's a liar. NOBODY is honest. And I'm told that I'm mentally ill and share too much because I'm done pretending and playing games to "fit in" with everyone else. So they can pay each other on the back and act like theyre sooooo smart.

The amount of liars and cheaters in our country will be the reason it collapses. My ex, a deputy, before she became a cop was honest and had integrity, after she went through post and was trained to lie, she became the biggest liar and fraud I've ever known……..before the next one who straight up told me she wasn't going to be honest on the fourth day. Five years later I finally got the balls to stand up for myself.

Don't put up with liars and make it a point to CALL YOURSELF OUT when you make a pointless lie. It's toxic and will end up destroying your own life.

That includes lying to yourself about your significant other, that will end up creeping into your life and destroying everything you hold dear. Because their lies will force you to lie.

All three of my exes, got married to the dude after me, had some kids, and ALL THREE are divorced now after cheating. Saved myself a lifetime of pain.

  2. Almost 100% of these videos are self-suicides. It's obviously a disgusting thing. But it's clearly a problem that people are using police workers as a way out. There needs to be a thorough investigation into this, it's just way too common. To the point that it's rare to see a regular shootout.

  3. Cool but nah. Officers are sketchy as hell trying to constantly get in the crib. If someone constantly denies you entry STOP asking. That's not right.

  4. If you're gonna lie about not wearing pants when you're very clearly wearing pants, then it's easy to conclude that everything else you're saying is most likely a lie.

  5. Almost a total happy ending. She should have been 'taken out' with that other trash. Involving the public in her bad (life) decision making. She needs to be charged and imprisoned.

  6. Now this lady is the TRUE definition of interference when she tried to get between the LEOs and her and… she wasn't cuffed immediately. She better have been arrested. She committed several offenses in this encounter.

  7. If she didn’t want them to search she should have said no and shut the door. They can ask as many times as they want, but once she let them in, they had to right to search.

  8. Would have been interesting to hear what the officers said to the woman answering the door that convinced her to admit them into the apartment.
