Oklahoma City Police Officers Shoot Man Who Charged at Them With a Knife

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma — On June 16, 2025, Oklahoma City Police responded to a call, in the 3500 block of SW 17th. As officers approached the front door of the residence, 41-year-old Eddie Hill, who was armed with a knife, opened the front door, charged and attempted to stab the closest officer to him. Hill was ordered to drop the knife but instead continued to advance on the officer while still armed with the knife, resulting in Hill being shot. Hill was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
