Tarrant County, Texas — On Friday, December 13, 2024, at 9:47 a.m., the WEST COMM 911 Dispatch Center received an emergency telephone call from a woman who reported a male suspect had been holding her hostage for the past four days against her will. The woman reported that she was able to escape from a white Dodge Caravan in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 6770 Westworth Blvd., which belonged to the suspect. As Westworth Village officers and White Settlement officers responded to the call, a Westworth Village officer reported that the van was fleeing at a high rate of speed through the Lowes parking lot, located at 600 S.H. 183. White Settlement officers saw the van and attempted to initiate a traffic stop at 10:02 a.m. in the southbound lanes of S.H. 183.

The suspect began to flee in the van from officers and a vehicle chase was initiated based upon the serious nature of the offense. The vehicle ran the red signal light at Calmont Ave. and Alta Mere Dr. and continued southbound on S.H. 183. As the vehicle approached the intersection of Alta Mere Dr. and Camp Bowie Blvd., the van ran the second red signal light, resulting in a crash with two uninvolved motorists. At this point, the suspect’s van was immobilized, and the man began to flee on foot from officers. White Settlement officers began to follow the fleeing suspect in their cars initially, and ultimately began to chase the suspect on foot. As it appeared the suspect was going to try and scale a fence at a business, a White Settlement officer deployed an electronic control device (taser) and other officers took the suspect into custody without incident.

The Fort Worth and Westworth Village Police Departments responded to the crash scene to assist with this investigation. The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Reginald Jameson, was arrested for the following charges: WHITE SETTLEMENT: Evading Arrest and Detention in a Motor Vehicle (Felony) WHITE SETTLEMENT: Evading Arrest and Detention on Foot (Misdemeanor) WHITE SETTLEMENT: Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Crash (Misdemeanor) WESTWORTH VILLAGE: Unlawful Restraint Expose Victim to Serious Bodily Injury (Kidnapping-Felony) WESTWORTH VILLAGE: Assault Family Violence/Household Member Impeding Breath and Circulation (Strangulation-Felony) WISCONSIN DEPT. OF CORRECTIONS: Felony parole violation for Substantial Battery-Intend Bodily Harm/Domestic Abuse (Felony) The suspect was directly transported to the Tarrant County Jail by White Settlement officers.

  2. About a mile from the house, wild..
Funny part is watching him run through the parking lot of the burger place, directly looking into the FWPD Westside HQ parking lot beginning to buzz his way. This was inescapable

  3. Who pays for the damage on the other cars he caused. Also in the case when he got no money or ensurance. Does the othe rpople just have bad luck or does the state pay for it?

  4. If he would have continued past Burger Street he would have wound up at the 2 story white building my favorite strip club Illusions back when i lived in Ft.Worth…

  5. This is the first time I've seen a department render out their footage at 60 FPS. This is silky smooth. Seems that Westworth Village PD has a tech savvy media specialist in their department.

  6. It’s a shame that POS vile scumbag Jameson made it out alive. Prayers to the victims for a full and speedy recovery. Thank you officers for your outstanding service and dedication.
