I’ve been in this situation , I know this situation all too well, a jealous woman is a broken woman who still holds on to her past and mentally has not moved on, the best thing for the Man to do is “LEAVE her alone” !!!

My heart sunk when the one female witness who saw nothing convinced herself that the guy was hitting the girl. I had to skip to the end to see if the police officer bought that opinion. When she was being cuffed and asked if her boyfriend was also being arrested, didn't the officer say yes? Why? However, at the end there was no mention of consequences for him so maybe I heard wrong. I'm an 80-year-old woman and by now I'm pretty good at spotting a female liar. I was wishing a savvy female officer had been on the scene.
The women that didn't see anything but said they heard noises ASSUMED he was beating her. She said she heard a hit first then an ow. I believe what they heard was her slapping his face and him pushing her back…and she said ow. See, it can go many ways ladies. I believe the guy.

The laws have it wrong. The police show up, they get stories like these, no physical marks – the law should be immediate permanent protective order for both of them against the other, and mandatory beginning of divorce proceedings with a resolution required within six months or the state does it for them without the ability to complain or appeal. If they're not married, they're no longer allowed to be around each other, ever again, and if they have property together, one buys the other out immediately at a price set by a judge or the state just sells the property and distributes the money after keeping a reasonable amount for the cost of dealing with this nonsense. The police shouldn't have to waste time with this kind of nonsense. This is a constant thing with some people and they need to be permanently kept apart for life.
As for this incident – if he had hit her with any force, she'd be broken. She looks fine. So default to my first paragraph and that's it with this silliness.
