Marysville, Ohio — On May 30, 2025, at approximately 2:16 a.m., Marysville Police Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of White Oak Court regarding a domestic dispute. Upon their arrival, officers made contact with 29-year-old Dustin Ohm involved in the situation. During the interaction, Ohm produced a firearm and fired shots at officers from inside his vehicle. Officers returned fire, but Ohm fled the scene in his vehicle, striking a Marysville Police vehicle occupied by an officer, and several other vehicles. Deputies from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Officers from the Marysville Police Division quickly located Ohm in the area of State Route 31 and US 33. Ohm continued to flee westbound on US 33, leading law enforcement on a pursuit.

The pursuit ended when Ohm’s vehicle became disabled in the median of US 33, near Northwest Parkway. Ohm exited the vehicle armed with a firearm and was engaged by a deputy from the Union County Sheriff’s Office. Ohm was struck with multiple rounds, neutralizing the threat. Law enforcement officers on the scene immediately rendered aid to Ohm until Marysville Fire personnel arrived and assumed care. Ohm was taken to a hospital in the Marysville area and later transported to another hospital in Columbus. He was charged with attempted aggravated murder and he could face additional charges. A Marysville Police Division officer who approached Ohm’s vehicle on White Oak Court sustained injuries during the initial shooting incident and was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated and subsequently released. No other law enforcement officers were injured during the incident.

  2. Again cops display an indescribable level of ignorance and unprofessionalism. "Keep rolling" is an unacceptable "command" to give to a citizen whom you have just shot. Disgraceful actions of all officers involved in this.

  3. Why did they allow him to get into the truck and drive off in the first place? This was all so weird. A little scary was, how they kept shooting while he was driving down the street in the neighborhood….so dangerous for the neighbors. Wild Midwest.

  4. If the dude just sat down on the curb, let the police handle it, he could have gone on with his life in 1/2 hour-hour.

… unless… they did check if he drank… which he probably did, considering how often he said he didn't…
In any case, he made things a million times worse.
