You may have seen in the news, a federal jury in Michigan just awarded 4 million dollars to a man who got his eyeball squished like a grape, after being sucker-punched by a police officer for no reason. Daniel Reiff was on his way to a roofing job. He and his coworker, Ryan, stopped at Ryan’s house to get some tools. As they walked through the neighborhood, a neighbor got suspicious and called the police on a non-emergency number, reporting that she didn’t recognize two “younger looking kids.” The Clinton Township police apparently didn’t have much going on that day, so they sent the cavalry – 8 police cruisers in total, who scrambled to the scene, even speeding and weaving through oncoming traffic, as if they were headed to a bank robbery. When Daniel saw this, having had prior bad experiences with the police, he left Ryan’s house and headed towards his bus stop. But Officer Broc Setty spotted him, got out of his car and chased him down, whooping a battle cry, as if he was a Viking about to murder some monks at a monastery. And actually Officer Setty wasn’t all that far off. When he caught up to Daniel, he sucker-punched him in the face, which ended up squishing Daniel’s eyeball like a grape, permanently blinding him.

  1. UPDATE: unfortunately whichever idiots reported the thumbnail to YouTube (which is actually already censored – you effing lame asses) they restricted the video, so it will stop appearing in people’s feeds. Oh well, was a good video…

  2. Just imagine…if this had happened in the days before body-cam's and camera phones…just imagine. You KNOW…back in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's….this was ordinary day to day actions for cops. Thousands of human beings have been sadistically abused by cops, and ended up in jail…for years.

  3. That cop is so manic from whatever anabolic crap he is taking he is running and doing a nature boy Ric flair impression before popping some kids eye… Like a freaking grape…. literally

  4. When Barney Fife thinks he's in Braveheart. I'd run too if a cop was screaming like a banshee and threatening to tase me. I'd be in fear for my life, wouldn't stop til I hit the border. I've seen Deliverance. Don't need that in my life.

  5. That cop should be in jail. Absolutely disgusting. Glad he got a big payout but money is not always justice. That poor gut lost an eye and the cop got a promotion. Unbelievable.

  6. 1. Did Officer Setty put Chapstick on his body cam lens?
    2. There was no crime, therefore any contact made by a police officer should have been a consensual stop. Reiff had no obligation to stop and officers had NO reason to demand him to stop.
    3. Saying he had ingested heroin might have been to ensure he would get medical treatment sooner.
    4. Officer Setty needs to be in prison for many, many years.

  7. We all KNOW…this cop did what he did…with ENJOYMENT. PLEASURE. This cop punched that guy deliberately…in the face…and knows damn well that that is what he meant to do. This cop was having fun. Cop WANTED to hit this guy, becuase he thought the government would let him get away with it…as this cop has probably done this thousands of other times and got away with it. This…was sadistic actions by this cop.

  8. Damn man these mistakes cannot keep happening this poor innocent guy got his freaking eyeball smashed like a grape and is permanently blinded in that side of his eyes, all over one cop being untrained, Unprofessional, immature, mistaken, unnecessarily violent,

  9. The swallowing heroin thing is actually a great idea, most cops are okay with a beating but they know there will be a real investigation if someone dies in their custody.

  10. Thank you for blurring this out. I don't think I could cope with watching this type of trauma to a person's face. I just can't understand how a police officer in any state of mind be able to hurt somebody that much with one blow. I get the guy fled as he was scared or maybe he had something to hide. I don't know, but to wanting to intentionally hurt somebody that much is a serious sign of something wrong with the person. His motivation while running after him and cheering is a serious sign that this person should not be on the force.

  11. Calling 9-11 because you don't recognize people in your neighborhood? I wasn't aware you needed to be from a neighborhood to walk around in it, but ok.

  12. A caravan of cops driving into incoming traffic alone is enough for me.

The people in this township are gonna go broke or be killed by these assholes.

  13. No qualified immunity! I want this cop in federal prison for what he did; this goes way beyond Assault and Battery. Frankly, it looks like the cop was actively trying to cause serious injury.

  14. Looks like this thug of a police officer rubs grease on his body cam lens to help disguise his crimes. He is no more than a gaing banger with full immunity!

  15. Tyrant cop had Zero probable cause! Tyrant cop was definitely on Steroids & He was all hyped up Screaming out his attack call just like a Lion as he was attacking his pray. "All Trained up in hand to hand combat and full of Steroids flowing through his veins. Then he unleash his fury on this kid just before he attacked his pray for NO Reason! Then Tyrant cop Lied to other officers and the court about punching this kid in the face and lied on the police reports! This Tyrant Steroids freak cop should have been fired immediately bcz he will lie on future police reports and he will hurt more American Citizens! End Qualified immunity Now!
