In this intense bodycam footage from December 11, an Ohio police officer narrowly escapes injury as a suspected DUI driver, identified as 23-year-old Anita Locke, crashes into his parked cruiser. The incident occurred while the officer was responding to a separate rollover crash on the highway. The video captures the heart-stopping moment when the officer, who was standing near his vehicle, is forced to quickly dodge out of the way as Locke’s car slams into the cruiser. Despite the officer’s swift reaction, the impact of the collision is severe, demonstrating the dangerous consequences of impaired driving.

According to the Bratenahl Police Department, Anita Locke allegedly attempted to shift blame for the crash onto the officers, claiming that their decision to park on the highway led to the collision. However, bodycam footage and subsequent investigations tell a different story. Locke was arrested at the scene after allegedly registering a blood alcohol content of over twice the legal limit. She is scheduled to appear in court on December 20 to face charges related to the incident.

That officer just wanted someone to check on him so bad, I felt for him
Watching this a couple of years later, I can find no record of what actually happened to this selfish, dangerous driver. I hope that she was incarcerated for at least six months, but I know our justice system considers DUI to be almost expected and no big deal. It’s time that we force our legislators to change the law and require justice and punishment for risking the lives of innocent people who are using the roadways with them. Let’s make getting the first drunk driving conviction enough of a penalty that very few choose to repeat the crime. If a conviction meant you had to be incarcerated for an entire year, most people would find another mode of transportation to get home after drinking alcohol.
There should be a database for people if you hit a cop car you should lose your license
I’m pro blue, but that hard on in the first five minutes directing traffic is the reason people don’t like cops. It’s a confusing situation and not everyone understands your signals. Calm down tough guy. Be like the other calm and collected officers around you.
Sheesh. Those cop cars with the lights on just come out of nowhere
This has more twists and turns than a Pauly Shore movie
He had awesome situational awareness, had he not been paying attention, he would not be here. Bless this officer
I started watching this, and when I was watching the officer digging around in the back of his cruiser, I thought to myself " you never seen flairs anymore, I hope that's what he's grabbing". I was not disappointed.😂
Why is that other guy being nasty to drivers to keep going straight in that lane… like they don’t know what’s going on? You don’t have to cuss at them. Very unprofessional
She said she wasn’t speeding??? She was FLYING!
Please!!! Everybody in the comments just shut the h@ll up! None of you were there and none of any of us has led a pure virtuous life! Probably everyone here has driven with a buzz at some time or other! So, all the Karen’s Stan’s and Sweet Polly Purebreds shut the H@ll up and just watch! Thank you!
NOMINEE FOR BALLS OF STEEL: This officer saw death miss him by 9 seconds and then he goes right to putting another flare in the road to keep the scene safe for others. 😳
Lol. Is it just me or did he not even try and help her lol. I wouldn't of either
Why is every single one of these drivers noticably intoxicated💀💀 😂😂😂
Everyone drunk wtf 😂
He was placing flares down and wearing a hi-rez jacket. She should be glad that she didn’t get hit with a bigger charge.
"Everybody's highly intoxicated." 😅
That's all I kept thinking through the whole video, too. I think the cop was hinting to her that he realizes she's highly intoxicated, too. Along with the two drivers who caused the accidents, and the last guy he talked to after blondie. Absolutely amazing and crazy scene!
People don't realize how important it is to stay in your car after a car accident on the highway. Unless the car is on fire… stay inside. At least even if it gets hit it will still protect you. The officer remained calm with all the distractions around him
Why was that freeway not shut down at the prior exit immediately??? That last accident should've never happened!
I guess they got their steps in. I could not do this.
I'm sure most of these folks don't have insurance or my have suspended DLs. Heck or even previous convictions of DWI. This was so awful to watch. That officer did a fantastic job remaining calm.
This exactly why it’s so dangerous to work around the highway, day or night.
They are like a bunch of gremlins, the way they act, dress, and hate society.
WTF did i just watch. What was that? The DUI night?
