Look at the video at 7 seconds. There are 3 lanes. The two left lanes are marked for left turn only on the pavement. On the opposite side of the intersection there are two lanes. It is easy to be confused that both the right lanes would not have the option of going straight. This might have been a way to argue the ticket in court or maybe politely tell the cop about it and say it was just confusing and maybe could have got a warning. Should have stopped the car when pulled over.
