This is the most heart-wrenching video we've ever shared. There were months of debate within our team about how best to cover it and I hope we did the story justice. In the end, we felt a responsibility to show the reality—because over 80,000 people die of overdoses each year in America. Alone, that number is overwhelming. But when you see the impact on just one family, it becomes impossible to ignore.
We hope this video inspires both compassion—and honest conversations—about the true cost of drug abuse.
The only good thing and I mean the only good thing to come out of is that is that Lilith will stay the hell away from drugs.

A lovely narcissistic mother, a familiar tale. The difference was I pulled my sister away when she was on her narcissistic rampage with her husband, my sister was still a toddler, I was in elementary school.

I can't handle watching children in distress like this. I can handle SO much, but not children in distress. I just want to protect them all and it hurts me so badly Especially the in the age range of 8 to 14 for some reason.

How HORRIBLE to listen to a 12 year old child screaming "I didn't PROTECT my sister from the witch", as if its a 12 year old childs responsibility! I can feel the burden she carries and will carry for the rest of her life for her baby sister!

I just was making meth in front of my mom's house!" 🤯🤯🤯, whilst her child is dying… And when first responders arrives she refuses to hand over the child!! What a Disgusting ROLEMODEL of a "mother"… she doesnt deserve to have children and that child deserves a loving caring and safe envi4onment to grow up in, NOT a METH cooking "Home"!

That poor young girl just loss her baby sister she wholeheartedly wanted to protect and the mom could care less all highed up you knows it is a frequent serious problem that the 12 year old daughter knows mom stays and gets high at the trailer park my heart breaks for both of those young one's!

This is the most heartbreaking police officer bodycam I have ever watched.
Fun fact, you do NOT have the right to refuse life-saving treatment for your kids. Because kids are unable to consent for themselves, they also can’t refuse to consent, and paramedics WILL go ahead with the treatment. This also applies to situations like a Jehovah’s Witness child patient, where the child cannot be refused a blood transfusion if it would save their life just because the parent doesn’t want it.
Are we not gonna say anything about the cops not doing anything the night before?
Didn't notice anyone else mention this – The "mother" showed emotion at the scene, but this is probably due to be completely strung out and hallucinating. She doesn't seem to react to the incredibly mature and heartbreaking letter from her 12 year old daughter – only crying when she found out her ex had died. No emotion about her baby passing away or the lifelong trauma she inflected on Lilith. Disgusting.
