Oklahoma City, Oklahoma — On August 18, 2025, around 1 a.m. an Oklahoma City Police Officer spotted a car making turns without signaling near N. Highland Drive and Northeast 16th Street. The driver, later identified as 62-year-old Donald Ray, refused to stop after the officer activated his emergency lights, instead running a stop sign and accelerating to 65 mph through residential streets. The first TVI caused Ray’s car to spin out and crash into a parked vehicle, but he continued fleeing by driving through multiple front yards and even onto a sidewalk before police attempted a second maneuver. The pursuit came to an end when Ray’s vehicle struck a fence behind a local credit union.

When officers approached the car, they discovered a female passenger who told police she was not willingly involved in the chase and claimed Ray had thrown a gun out of the window during the pursuit. Although a firearm was not recovered, officers did find methamphetamine in Ray’s pocket. He was taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on numerous charges including: Endangering Others While Eluding Police Officer, Speeding, Leaving Scene of an Accident Involving Damage, Driving with License Canceled, Suspended or Revoked, Possession of Controlled Substance, Failure to Signal on Turning, Failure to Stop at Stop Sign. According to police records, Ray has a prior criminal history, including a 2016 conviction for bringing contraband into a jail.

  2. I wonder if any police departments have an electric vehicle for chases ? On these videos I often see police cruisers lagging, often after turns, and struggle to accelerate back up due to lack of torque. Electric vehicles have a crazy amount of power and in particular massive torque. If you could out accelerate cars at any time, then realistically you could pit them at any time. Musk's Cybertruck has been a bit of a dud sales wise and with some quality issues, however it's 3 motor version will go 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds. Tesla could look at a Police Pursuit version, it would be great for pit manoeuvres and could potentially end a chase in under a minute. The 3 motor Cyberbeast model mentioned has a range of 320 mi (510 km).

  3. Man imagine parking your car in your driveway just to have this guy get PIT maneuvered into it causing thousands in damages; and then he STILL drives miles away from there

  4. It's 1:00 a.m. and a Potentially Obedient Suspect, who should not be driving a car, swerves recklessly at high speeds through your neighborhood, nearly hitting your car, tearing up your lawn, and smashing your newly-painted fence to pieces.
