Here's a tip: a hat. Maybe just me but first minute I see shoppers coming in, LEO and the mother, all without any kind of hat. In 9 degrees. The #1 thing you need (supposedly) to keep warm as so much heat goes out your head. Maybe not needed if everybody's brains are frozen solid.
You never forget feeling that cold at their ages. My hands are hurting just thinking about it. In 1988 I walked to school without gloves, socks, and with only a light jacket. A teacher let me inside to warm up and thought running my hands in warm water would help. The moment my hands touched the water in was so painful that it still ranks up there as one of my worst moments. This mother seemed very clueless, much like my former parents. She needs to have some serious parenting education before she can be in charge of these kids again. That is is the very least and doesn’t include the punishment she should have.
That heavy set female cop made me cold, somebody get her a coat!
Kids are happy to sleep in grocery carts. They sleep almost anywhere. People who leave kids in cars are lazy.

My question is, if she fled DV (good for her!) did she obtain another vehicle because if she took her own the car seats would have been in it, right?

I just got a few questions… If she left Texas moving to Illinois because of a domestic violence relationship, why would she feel comfortable leaving her kids alone in the car? What if the person with whom she fled from in Texas,found them & took or even worse,harmed her kids?? I don't know the details so I don't know the likelihood of that happening,I'm just wondering.
Also, even if she fled from that situation & person,the car seats for her kids should be one of the most important things to make sure to take with her. Why have a car seat for the older kid but not the younger kid?
I can guarantee that in Texas the laws are just as strict if not more strict in regards to kids in car seats etc . Her kids car seats should always be in the car at their age, the only time you carry it inside normally,is when you have a baby.
Oh & let's not forget to mention having a loaded gun within access of the kids,that could've been deadly. All of the details of this case are messed up..period.
These are only my opinions & thoughts though of course. I hope the kids are ok & doing well now though. I hope this woman got the sentence she deserved & that she learns her lesson from it all!
She’s just sorry she got caught. No money for car seats but she definitely had money for her coat, comfy clothing, a gun and of course that hair from the hair store!
Why do these Mother leave their kids in a car? Bring them in, that is all avoid arrests and them in the system..
You know what bugs me? The title of this video and specialy that bit when you call her a mom, she put these kids into this world but a mom/mother she is not.

Ppl should need to take parenting courses that teach them how to be proper parents and they should have to get a parenting license at the end. Furthermore ppl who are found to have neglected or abused their children should get fixed males and females so they cant reproduce..
