There is NO WAY she thought she hit a dog! Seriously, lady?! She KNEW she hit a human being! And there’s no way she made a u turn and went back. BS! She should spend the rest of her life in prison for killing those babies-and leaving the scene! This just infuriates me!

No one realizes that at 72 in the dark you can't see people in the road. Where they shouldn't be. I've had close calls with people walking in the road at night. In cali our gov newscum loves the freaks.
She keeps saying "i hit a dog" but that's how she regarded that family. I can't even imagine their heartbreak.

How do you mistake a human being for a dog? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
That very calm driver told her friend she hit a dog. She also said she hadn't backed it out in two days. Not normal behavior if she thought it was a dog. She'd be on the phone with the insurance company right away. She knew damn well what she did.
DUIs have caused nothing but suffering, my family included. 10 years post collision and I still have PTSD.
Did l hear that right. Did he say that she got hit while jaywalking and picking up her phone when she went back out into traffic? Let me think about this. She ran out into the street, in front of a car and committed suicide is basically what he said. I hope that phone was worth it. What City/State is this? If its LA, I would have thought it was a crazy protester and would not have stopped either. Right now, all i can think is, as a society, we can't cross the street anymore.

What an absolutely awful story. I got hit once by an older man at 3 in the afternoon. Luckily i didnt get hurt too bad. This case is tragic sll the way around.
I truly hope the victims(& family) get justice but I have absolutely zero faith. RIP.

She says she went back to see if "the dog" she thought she hit was still alive theres no way she didnt know she hit 3 ppl especially after going back. If she is such a big animal lover why would she leave a dog she thought she hit. I fully get that ppl can like animals more than humans but at the end of the day a human life is always more important so i dont understand how u can have more of a heart for animals than living ppl. This lady knew what she did, claiming she hit a dog. She never slowed down cause the husband never even seen the vehicle. Them ppl on scene that helped will need help, the PTSD they will have is going to get bad as time goes on. Two dead children laying in the street and this ladies windshield is pushed into the dashboard n she thinks it’s a dog she hit.
