Melissa DeBoer watched her mother get viciously attacked and murdered. Then, the suspect came after her and her sister. DeBoer helped put Rodney Lincoln, the man she believed killed her mom, behind bars, but DeBoer later realized her mother died at the hands of a serial killer. She joined the fight to free Lincoln, who is now home and reunited with his family.
‘You don’t belong there’: Woman helps free the man wrongfully convicted of killing her mom
My heart goes out to Rodney and his daughters, I hope the state compensated you generously for your loss.
What a heartbreaking story on both sides 😞
May the good Lord bless Rodney. 😢😢â¤
Blessed
Melissa is a true hero for admitting that her testimony was wrong. She deserves all the grace in the world. They took advantage of a child who'd been traumatized and changed her memories. How disgusting. I'm so happy for Rodney and so thankful he's got such a beautiful heart.
I've advocated for the wrongfully convicted for nearly 20 years, and this is one of the very few times where I've seen a victim's family member admit they were wrong in their belief of guilt. I'm so sorry that Rodney spent so much of his life in prison. I hope he is living a wonderful life now.
What about what she said when she was interviewed and she was older, and she told the reporter that he knew he did it and he deserved to be there in prison what about that?
She wasn't a child anymore when she confessed to that that he deserved that
What was "done" to this man?
She did it it was because of her information that that men went to prison she did it!!!!
So now Melissa is going to blame it on the police officers, how convenient is that, is her fault that that man went to prison and stay in there for 30 years that is her fault Melissa's fault
Don't talk to the police without an attorney.
Why are people thanking some mythical god for this outcome when the very same god put her in the tragic situation in the first place? Genuine question.
This is so sad. 36 years that he could've spend with his family, wasted in prison because he was wrongfully accused and convicted. Rodney I admire you. I hope you are living your best life with your family.
After 30 years? Imma get out sue YOU
So what happened to the actual killer? Was he already deceased?
Typical police thugs and crooks
Did they ever compare the hair DNA to the guy they think actually did it?
…yet there's a 34 count multi-convicted Felon allowed as POTUS. Absolutely a Travesty of Justice both ways. Seriously America.ðŸ˜â€Ã°Å¸ËœÂ¶Ã°Å¸Â¥â‚¬Ã°Å¸â€¡ÂºÃ°Å¸â€¡Â¸Ã°Å¸Â¥â‚¬ Prayers for all this mans needs be met & peace of mind.ðŸ™ÂðŸ›Â💖🌱🕯ï¸Â
This is how the cops on the old days, lazy just want to end the case. They literally ruined his life.
Thank you, incompetent juries for putting innocent man behind bars
But why now😢
A traumatized child can not be the only evidence.
Ben Franklin: "it is better 100 guilty Persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer"
Modern Day Jurors: Her tears say more than real evidence ever could
This is heart breaking 😢
So many years behind bars for something you didn't do is just unfathomable
Poor Rodney 😢
Wishing you all a wonderful future for Mr Rodney. He misses alot in his life but it's never too late.
God is so good!!
Horrific crime, and a horrific injustice. Ignoring dna evidence and upholding the testimony of a 7 year old is something else.
People talk about ppl that have alot of tattoos such as myself but in situations like these they help us a lot. I was accused of stealing from a store that I rarely shopped at. Made them pull up the cameras & the person did favor me as far as being Lightskin & having locs but they had no tattoos & I have many of them. Immediately they apologized for accusing me but I didn’t accept it. Ppl need to learn to get facts before jumping the gun.
