Something tells me these Parents are not saying what really happened. Was the kid insured? Something is fishy about the way the mom said that right after seeing the intruder she yell: Go check on their daughter. That right there is a very strange reaction after seeing an armed man in your house!

Mom isn't making any sense at all (heard a strange noise, by the way a GUNSHOT, woke up startled, seeing the shooter…huh? And mom DID NOT GET SHOT FOR SEEING HIM). So the daughter knew the man she met secretly. Get all phone evidence and security cameras, it definitely will uncover something. As for the parents, they sound neglectful, look into them. Their other children didn't hear anything…huh? If the children HEARD NOTHING, then who heard the "parents desperately crying" for their daughter? The entire story does not make sense.

This case seems very fishy to ME; like the parents did it. The intruder breaks in to shoot the teen, gets seen with a "long gun", parents aren't crying, no one else hears the gun shot. Mom says it's a masked man, but knows he's Hispanic and in his 20s. She said she thinks there was a 2nd person because of a "flash". Look closer at the parents.
Anyone else notice how much emphasis was put on how much they loved her,"their beloved daughter" "held a special place in their heart" etc.
