Within the days following Alex Murdaugh’s conviction and sentencing for murdering his wife and son, the disgraced lawyer was placed into isolation away from other inmates for his own safety. The family killer is being held at Kirkland Correctional Institution in Columbia, South Carolina for 45 days during an evaluation period, where many factors will be analyzed to determine where the disbarred attorney will be incarcerated indefinitely to serve his two consecutive life sentences. Murdaugh’s defense attorney, Richard Harpootlian, claims he’s received a barrage of insults and threats, both throughout and after the trial. The Law&Crime Daily team has the details.

  1. HOW DO YOU ATTORNEYS SLEEP AT NIGHT. YOU NOTH KNOW HE KILLED HIS WIFE AND SON. AND HOUSEKEEPER. ETC ETC. ALEX IS RIGHT WHERE HE BELONGS!!!!!!

  2. I'm a bit of a fan of Jesse Webber and his statement here 'every victim matters' solidifies my respect for him as a journalist. And that's very rare – a journalist with a sense of morals.

  3. I do have sympathy for this man.But he must pay for killing two members of his family,I would have asked my lawyers to ask for a death sentence. Can anyone imagine sitting in prison for the rest of your life at his age?

  4. Harpootlian has that affect on people. He’s just a down right rude, pretentious, condescending jerk. the way he speaks to people is unbelievable. He deserves everything coming his way.

  5. Taking 2 lives is one thing, denying over and over shows how narcissistic he was with absolutely no regards to the deceased’s who loved him so much.

  6. Yes! We in all these other Countries Do HAVE other things to do.(We are actually watching in our free time! ).However with the launch of the Internet, We may live in other countries, but we are no further fr each other than our own neighbours! This is why we are all interested & involved! As we want to see Justice done where it needs to be done. That statement in itself is arrogant, & actually this is a sympathy ploy! The 2 officers who recognised that lady was in dire straits & acted, rather than reacted, saved her life! Total respect for a job well done!

  7. This is sad to say but karma built up for 3 generations against the Murdock family and it bursted leaving 4 people dead in its path. Karma doesn't pick and chose so 4 innocent ppl end up dead because the Murdoch's had too much protection so it went after others to get to them and it did.
Do good people. If bad things start happening in ur life, start thinking about how u treat people, ie: how u treat ur family, friends, co-workers, animals, nature, homeless, just anything and anybody in this world. Think about what U have done and fix it…

  8. I find it really fascinating that the state will still protect a (possible serial) killer from being murdered in prison.

  9. Woww some people are really crazy to make a comment like I hope you D** of Rectal C****ncer Woww but to Murdock if you can’t do the crime don’t do the crime .Once more privileged people he gets a safe cell , what about those others that are endangered they get put in with other cell mates they don’t care about their safty .And his son should of gotten prison time for killing and injuring those on the boat .Justice 🗽is not always equal that’s for sure

  10. Kudos to the two officers for being so compassionate and observant. Long life to them both, be safe, and certainly thrilled the woman's life was saved.

  11. POOR Steve Smith that's unfair to that young man, young kids life taken way to soon.. Hope they find you done him in. 🙏

  12. As far as Alex murdough is concerned I think he made a convenient suspect and the case was handled poorly throughout including the trial and the admission of unrelated evidence and the bringing of charges based on a lie by the police. He was persecuted by everyone involved because of his and his family’s status in the community evidenced by the fact the legal and general community at large is blaming every suspicious death in the region on him, im surprised they haven’t found a way to charge him for every oppossom that has been run over in the region

  13. Well done to the officers. God bless them and they family.

How an earth a 6 years old can pull a trigger? What type of home that have gun lying around to a child? That, parents should be charged. Bcs, they are responsable to take care of a minor. When my daughter was 8 she done something that teacher didn't like. The school called us parents. We had meeting I even had to take to child phycology. I had to take letter from phycologist saying nothing wrong with her just a phase going thru and we had to assist her at home and change our routine to adjust her. Now the 6 years old go kill someone and so parents must be responsable so other parents must know feel obliged to take care of kids

  14. I love the story of the two officers who recognized something was wrong with this lady and she needed to be taken to the hospital. They’ll be her forever heroes. They may have saved her life or even the life of someone else she may have hit with her confusion from her brain. God bless them.

  15. It’s not beyond imagination these law suits are simply vindictive. I hate to think that but it’s not unheard of.

  16. Who is following the ex- boy friend murder of ex girlfriend boyfriend . Judge Bruce Schroeder is
presiding over the trial..I personally think he should resign his analogies sound outdated to me.
He is always telling his little personal stories that amount to a hill of beans,IMO He appears older
    than 77 years of age.🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

  17. People who wish a disease such as rectal cancer on another human being is truly a sick person. I wish they could be caught and punished.🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

  18. Why do so man people pronounce his name wrongly? Alex is not Alec and Murdaugh is not Murdock. I just don’t get it.

  19. In that blather on the senate floor, the double-murderer's attorney didn't mention looking for the real killers.

    Wonder why lol.

  20. They need to investigate the housekeeper 's death, even though her son doesn't believe there was anything suspicious that happened. He doesn't seem to be very bright, he might have some mental slowness issues. His brother definitely does, he testified to that is court. In the 911 call Maggie stated that Gloria fell while going up the steps. There were only 8 steps. How did she break 12 ribs, which she had according to the coroner?? Maggie never went to hospital to visit her and Alex only went once. This woman raised those boys. Something very fishy.

  21. He didn't do enough it was weak …any time u allow someone to testify for themselves is not good lawyering however this man AM had to do it his way which was the wrong way. He got the what he asked for instead of allowing D and J to do what they were paid for…I wouldn't hire either of them. OJ had better Lawyers

  22. I feel like after he gets into his long term home he will be fine. Narcissists are great at compartmentalizing and adapting. I don’t think they should have access to TV’s. Not cold-blooded murderers. They should be forced to think about what they’ve done even if they can’t quite feel sorry for it.

  23. Say what, ppl can't get enough of Alex? No! That is not what that is it's bc they can't believe he did what he did commiting familiarize! They/I want him to pay! Ppl are NOT obsessed w/Alex Murdaugh, they're obsessed that he pays!
