A New Jersey man was arrested Monday at his mother’s home after authorities said they traced online death threats made against a Florida sheriff back to the 38-year-old. Authorities said Richard Golden allegedly threatened to end Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood’s life after the law enforcement leader took a stand against a neo-Nazi hate group. The anonymous chats said to be posted by Golden called for shooting Chitwood in the head to “solve an immediate problem permanently.†Sheriff Chitwood said he can’t wait to welcome Golden when he gets off the plane and arrives at jail.
