The time & resources would be better spent on coming up with a solution to stop situations like this from happening! Like locking up those who are mentally ill, refusing medication or help & are violent!!!

7. Sad taser must’ve pulled first no matter what and a safe distance kept from mentally ill people. If he was in his right mind force in understandable but that’s not the case here. Plus training for use of deadly force should be taken like taking shots first in arms or legs and not vital areas. God have mercy and comfort this family and bring peace to everyone involved.

14. There's so much blame to go around in the closing of mental health institutions in America during the 1960's and 1970's. Conservatives liked it to cut costs even at the expense of public safety. Liberals liked it because they like to emphasize individual rights even at the expense of public safety. Both promised voters community support programs would be available to make it safe. Either they were naively promising something doomed to fail, or consciously lying.

21. I have a brother and nephew who both have mental issues brought on by drugs they are using. Not everyone is aware that a lot of violent and erratic thinking exist nowadays because of drug use. This is sad.

32. We still have little idea how to fix mental illness and even any help after a crisis costs so much no one can afford it. Howard Stern had psychologists for 50 years and did little to help.
