A judge dismissed the defamation lawsuit filed by a retired Wisconsin detective against streaming giant Netflix for their portrayal of him in the 2015 documentary series “Making a Murderer.” Retired Manitowoc County detective Andrew Colborn claimed the series painted him as a corrupt law enforcement officer, stating viewers could infer he framed Steven Avery, which he denies, from their presentation of the case. First Amendment expert Floyd Abrams breaks down the case with the Law&Crime Network’s Angenette Levy, an expert on the case whose reports were shown throughout the popular true crime series.

  1. If Steven killed Terresa why would he bring her car on his property or if he killed her on the property why would he leave her car there? It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. What is wrong with you people! Free these two innocent people!

  2. The key didnt have any DNA from teresa on it , only stevens. Explain that. It was the backup key , showed up the day after the ex boyfriend came on site.

  3. Legal opinions are like a couple of arseholes… Just falling over themselves to try and make sure that theirs don't stink. Kathleen Zellner's doesn't. The rest are just trying to make sure that theirs don't…

  4. She’s a pretty lady but she still sucks as a reporter. She’s almost unbearable . You’d think she’d improved by now. Ramble on. And she still gets it wrong. Saying things like it’s Steven Avery Salvage Yard. You know she knows she’s wrong. Towards the end she’s not so pretty 😂

  5. Mr. Abrams you are talking to someone whom is void of the basic facts and likely blindly supported the neglect and purposeful tainting of the evidence. This gal is an imbarasement to human logic and justice as a whole.

  6. Floyd you quoted the Judge’s opinion which says it all, questions proposed to Colborn in the deposition and in the trial were fair and accurate, he failed to make timely police reports, explain how he knew Theresa’s license plate number, or continue to engage in conflict of interest visits to a jurisdiction not under Manaitowc that of Calumet Co. all these are factual accusations not accompanied with any explanations, they remain suspicious.
I’d love to hear Andy explain why he participated and acted in the way he did.
That’s what I’ve been searching to find that brought me to your podcast.

  7. Manitowoc city police come across like there detectives which there not my house was broken in in 2004 they accused me of breaking into my own home my girlfriend and myself was in North Dakota I’m an over the road truck driver ended up hiring a private investigator out of Milwaukee Wisc at $250 an hr and solved the crime there were 18 other homes that were broken into. I could go on and on , but GOD knows I’m not lying I’m a firm believer what goes around comes around and if not this world the next “GOD” prevails!!!!!!!!!

  8. Progress in the US justice system. Have hope folks. Just remember if you spend decades in prison being innocent be grateful for what you got and don't sue the cops or you will land in jail once again for alleged murder. 😀 What a jokers

  9. I was going to watch until Angenette Levy. She is not worthy of anything. Worst talking head ever. Biased and dishonest. Never rose to the level of even being a terrible tabloid reporter. She's grotesque

  10. If the police would have framed Steven, they wouldn't have done it in a way that could have caused controversy. They would have planted the key in a specific place, not just lying on the floor out in the open. The police didn't even try to lie about where they found it. They gave a scenario with the book case of what they thought happened.

  11. Steve is not guilty of nothing bunch of crooked cops they set him up no blood, no evidence found a bullet that was staged I hope these cops get punished for what they’ve done

  12. They found the Key on the 3rd or 4th time they went through his trailer. They didn't find it in the bedroom where they allegedly said he killed her on the first day, or the second day or the 3rd day. The key they found only had Steven's DNA on it, now, you would think the key would have had Teresa's DNA since it was her car and her key.

  13. What i find odd about the officer on the stand is that he was a conflict of interest because he was friends with Steven's brother Earl.

  14. I think this Biden-ish elderly man is STILL trying to get his sentences out and not talk in incoherent circles 😂 Seriously though, it’s time for Pops to retire. Look at this woman’s face as she’s trying to not flip her lid waiting for this guy to finish already 😂

Uhmmm…

  16. I believe Avery did it because of all the evidence they didnt show on Netflix. But if I only watched Netflix, I would think he was innocent, too.

  17. I feel like maybe an officer did the killing, and in order to protect the officer, they picked someone who wasn’t very smart that they could pin it on. Someone needs to look into the officers in that department and if one of them had a connection to the victim, if it’s not already been done

  18. The place was searched over and over but the key was miraculously found when the corrupt cop decides to search. I don’t care if Angela heard the case or was around for over 5 years. Some people are pro cop, especially when the cops are corrupt.

  19. With out knowing the whole story it’s hard to get a convection sweat DNA could’ve got there in a number of ways on the hood latch. It could’ve got there in a number of ways
