4. This is incomprehensible, how a person could do this. He sits there, stone faced, after knowing exactly what happened to her. Her last words.. the conversation they had on their way to the spot where he attacked her. How does this not haunt him? Or at the very least, show any slightest bit of sadness on his face during the trial ((other than for himself.))
   I remember going to school with kids like this where you sense a twisted side. I hope kids will speak up more and trust your intuition when someone feels off to you, say something! His friends clearly stated he was into some sadistic stuff.

5. Why was Aiden parents then at his age let him come home so late? I don’t care if he was in the neighborhood at a friend’s house. Too young and that made him think he was grown too young. Glad the jury got it right lock him up for life. If not he would do it again and again and lie about it.

21. Before I make my comment I’m going to state this disclaimer in no way shape or form an I blaming her parents.

    As a parent of 3 boys now young men all in the early 20s I have never went to sleep and the were not accounted for. We didn’t let the boys out past 9pm til they were well over 17 but even then if they were late I didn’t sleep til they got in. At no point did I go to sleep knowing that they were not in the house. I don’t have a daughter but I’m 💯 sure she would have had even more strict accountability rules. As parents in this day in age we work more and therefore out of the house more however as we can all see you have to be even more vigilant on the whereabouts of your children.

29. I know Zophies parents were not being the greatest, letting her out at all hours and letting a boy spend the night. But I hope they get her therapy. She needs to know that the way Aiden treated her is not ok and not normal. This was not love. It was him being controlling and manipulative. A partner holding a knife to your neck is not normal! It was very sad to know she felt "safe" with him after doing this. Hope she gets help and guidance.

Maybe if they had some limitations and had expected a certain level of behavior from him as opposed to letting him roam all hours in the morning then maybe this wouldn’t have happened.
