Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is set to face off with a retired doctor in a civil trial starting March 21 over a ski crash in February 2016. Plaintiff Terry Sanderson alleges the famed actress’ skiing was “out of control” when the two collided at Deer Valley Resort seven years ago. Paltrow fired back, countersuing Sanderson for one dollar, claiming his recollection of events was incorrect and that he crashed into her. Damage amount: A judge rejected Sanderson’s initial lawsuit against Paltrow for damages in excess of $3.1 million, alleging that the incident qualified as a hit-and-run. In his updated complaint, Sanderson claims Paltrow was reckless in causing his injuries and is now asking “for more than $300,000.” In an amended filing, the plaintiff requested in excess of $300,000 but in openings, reiterated the claim for $3 million.

  1. 5:16:14 Jenny’s expression of anger by yelling at her sister was probably based on what she had learned from her father when he treated her in a similar manner. IMO Jenny’s two older sisters are demonizing her and basically dismissing (actually gaslighting) her experiences with her father because they don’t fit the narrative that the collision magically transformed their father from father-of-the- year into a monster (for which he’s entitled to receive $300k of course). I think we all know that every parent/child relationship is different even within a family. Jenny spent her teenage years living with her father basically as an only child when her sisters had left for college and beyond. This is all so infuriating and also very sad.

  2. It could have been that the judge was annoyed by owens but I definitely felt he showed more favor to the plaintiff team during this questioning 🤔

  3. I guess brain problems run in the family. His daughter can’t remember anything and can’t remember a question that was asked 30 seconds ago

  4. What a sad man. He's in his 70s and participating in a "high-risk" activity which means he's at risk of suffering unintended consequences by his own choices. He already had a long list of physical ailments including a bum-eye. He blames others as a distraction when he was the captain of his own ship in his careless disregard to take care of his personal well being.

  5. People need to understand that juries are human. I'm sure they do their best to go strictly on the facts, but they're told specifically that it's up to them to determine the credibility of witnesses. Someone like Shae who is being super shady and sneaky and finding every which way to skate around the answer, before they ever remember what words she said they're going to immediately associate in their minds "Shae = dishonest" or at the very least "I don't have a good impression of Shae". That will mean far more than any words she said, it taints her whole testimony and credibility even if she never TECHNICALLY told a lie.

  6. Shae is very clearly mulling over each word in the question to see which one she can take issue with to give a different answer that she KNOWS isn't what's being asked. For example the punched in the face thing whether she had ever heard that, she paused for a good bit about that and is probably thinking "well he said punch, dad didn't 'punch' the guy it was more of an open handed hit so I can answer no, I've never heard that dad 'punched' someone" 🙄 she does this repeatedly and it's extremely transparent.

  7. Was she expecting to be a beneficiary.? I’ve seen evasiveness before but stonewalling the truth came naturally for some reason?

  8. She is sure she would have definitely wanted to see through the link but is not sure if she did and if she did she's not sure if it was GoPro footage or what. Yyyyyeeeah, we call that lying.

  9. I know the daughter Shae, is being super evasive, but my God the defense attorney is TERRIBLE as far as asking questions! She evades the question and he is terrible at asking clear, coherent follow up questions in order to clearly get the answers to his original question…..then he just lets it go and she gets away with actually having to answer the question!! It’s SUPER frustrating!! 😤

  10. For everyones information the link was GoPro footage of what happened but it has been since deleted. Unfortunate for Mr Sanderson is it not?

  11. You're telling me this dude didn't show up through the whole trial, even as his daughters likely perjured themselves for the benefit of his apparent scam, until he wanted to lewdly stare down GP giving her testimony? Really gives me the creeps… and funny enough, not knowing anything about this case except there was an accident involving them both and the celebrity was accused of being self absorbed and uncaring about damages done to a "normal" person, I expected fully to take his side. This gets crazier and crazier. His daughters have no credibility and he seems absolutely full of it

  12. Quite sad what the two sisters are doing to their younger sister, effectively painting her out to be "crazy," meanwhile sister here stumbles repeatedly over her words accidentally calling her own daughter her "little sister" when discussing hostile and threatening behavior exhibited by her dad. Definite slip that betrays they all know the dad is combative with the youngest sister.

  13. Jet pilot so handsome 💕 Hello Mark with a K. You chisel square jaw version of a gracefully aging Ken doll military man. 🤩

  14. I work with elderly people it is not unusual for people as they get older to have crabby mean ear it able load want respect even if they are wrong it’s normal aging process with some older people. He got hurt made him depressed it slowed him down he was angry but that still doesn’t mean it’s from the accident or not his fault .

  15. So… just looked this up:
Neurotypical individuals are often described in relation to autistic people, so they may have: no problem interacting with peers or having conversation. no noticeable speech delays as children. no sensory issues, such as not being able to tolerate crowds, loud noises, or being too hot or too cold.
So Jenny is normal?! WTF is going on here

  16. Everything these witnesses are explaining is early stages of Dementia….. every family goes through this with a family member struggling with dementia… time for EVERYONE TO ACCEPT IT.. the father you knew is gone, because of DEMENTIA

  17. I am #3 of 6 kids… my older brother is 6 yrs older and my older sister is 4yrs older.. the life they had was butterflies and rainbows.. once they moved out, my mom started to have mental health issues and my Dad was doing everything he could to take care of 4 young kids… long story short, they have no idea what me and our little siblings went through and at times will look at us like exaggerating… even though, deep down they knew EVERYTHING but I think they block it out because they left us behind to deal with a broken mother and father working 24/7…
So listening to these sisters talk and how nervous and off they are tells me this is EXACTLY what they did to Jenny

  18. It feels like everyone in this lawsuit has had some neurotrauma, witnesses and lawyers alike, except for Gwyneth, who actually was composed and to the point. Maybe her as well, she did hire those lawyers after all.

  19. Sanderson and his daughters have head injury, not just Terri 😂😂😂😂 geezzzz

  20. If you guys are going to continue to be in the business of televising court procedures, have some respect for the viewer/LISTENER, and do your best to match up the volumes of the mics. They don't have to be exact, but there is a line where it becomes uncomfortable to listen because one speaker is much louder than the other, as we adjust our volume to compensate. NOW I HAVE TO LEAVE TO FIND ANOTHER PLACE…BUT IT WILL PROBALBY BE THE SAME. I have ecellent hearing.

  21. Mr. Owens is the kind of guy who takes memes seriously and pins them on mental health problems🙄 He must be fun at parties😏

  22. The fact that the older Sisters who claim to be very close to the youngest daughter (Jenny) have no problem talking bad about her is very disturbing and really says a lot about the disfunction of this family. I think there father is getting older and they are all in denial about this because their dad is such a controlling person. The ex girlfriend is lucky she didn't marry Terry. Poor Gwyneth to have to be involved with these crazy people who are obviously looking for money and an escape goat for the reason Terry is just getting old. Gwyneth should win hands down this family is totally lying for their Dad.
