Former ice cream truck driver Michael Keetley is facing a retrial for allegedly shooting six people on Thanksgiving 2010, killing two brothers, and injuring four others. Prosecutors allege Keetley was out for revenge after his ice cream truck was robbed for $12, but mistakenly targeted the wrong suspects. Keetley’s first trial in February 2020 resulted in a deadlocked jury. The former ice cream man is facing two first-degree murder charges and four counts of attempted murder.
Reason For Retrial: Defense attorney’s argued Keetley was too badly wounded from his own shooting, to carry-out the shooting in Ruskin that killed two people. Weak witness testimony led to a mistrial in 2020, after some state witnesses failed to identify Keetley as the shooter, identifying another man in a police mug shot packet. Defense witnesses were more exacting in their testimony, which led to a jury deadlock of 10 not guilty, 2 guilty, and eventually a mistrial.

cheeky doc. he saw the opportunity to touch that cute blondie pros attorney and he took it.
what a champ.
The state’s admitting that people don’t receive proper medical care when incarcerated lol, anything to win a case! How do we know that he was doing all his exercises and stuff between august and November of 2010?
MK stated his hand was getting better and was having surgery that would give him even more mobility so he wasn’t upset anymore with who did it! He had the surgery in Feb/March I believe? No statement, by anyone, changes that for me. Multiple witnesses who shot with him is a cherry on top. Guilty!
I think he should sue the shot out of the State… 13 years = 13,000,000.00$ they are lazy detectives or are on the Take or just flat out corrupt!!!!!!! Not Guilty
Nerve conductivity test is a 2inch needle 16 gauge shoved into your muscles
I couldn’t even button my pants or brush my hair and brushing my teeth was literally moving my head side to side! This guy could not do this!
I had a radial nerve injury and I can tell you rt now there is absolutely no way that guy could even hold a cup of coffee
Didn’t the 4 remaining survivors see who shot them and say it was him?
it's not that difficult to fake a disability or to trick a doctor into believing them
people do it all the time for fraud reasons
Plus doctors aren't always right
and the people that are good at it even fool their own family's cause of how they keep up the pretense
I think he did it, all the evidence points to him
The Prosecutors continue to attempt to convict this man now for different reasons. It's no luck longer about if he's innocent or guilty. It's about the restitution he will be owed for the twelve years of his crippled life this county has stolen from him. It's not a credible case.
So #1: the doctor reported the other doc wrote that Keetley "didn't have access to medications…" – but when they were searching his house, didn't he keep asking for his meds & that he was on a lot of them??
#2: Same access statement included medical devices – didn't the MIL to someone (as well as other witnesses) say she saw him with a brace on??
#3: If he "didn't "have access" to meds or devices… theres plenty of ways to get assistance on those things – state agencies, charities, etc. AND plenty of devices can be purchased right from Amazon. But that said… *he had $150 to buy a gun that he declares he's not able to use… couldn't he have put that $$ towards things to increase his chances of a better rehabilitation?? Hmmmmm…ðŸ¤â€
And finally – WHY did he need a hospital bed?? I have had to sleep soley on my back with both my legs elevated since 12-22-09 … I have a nifty little thing to keep my legs up – however much they spent on an unnecessary hospital bed (IMO) could've gone towards his actual rehab… 🤷ðŸÂ¼â€Â♀
I’ve watched hour after h our of these lawyers and the judge. They are very professional, smart and the judge is very good at controlling his courtroom.
I'm going to go with don't most people have to put your hands together and put an object in your other hand I just switch my pin from one hand to the other and that's how I did it my drink same thing I put both hands together and I hand off to the other I don't just throw it
OMG this judge is super nice and seems very competent why cant he be on the Lori Vallow Dumbell case ??? IMO he didnt do it
Absolutely shocking
what if….. she's trying hard here, they have not proven their case
Plastic surgeon? Why not an orthopedic expert?
If the shooter had been fully functional, I hardly think anyone on the porch listening to him bellow about Kreeper would have been left alive.
There is so much reasonable doubt here. Even if you think he "could have" done it, unless you are convinced beyond a reasonable doubt, you have to vote not guilty. Yes, there is circumstantial evidence against the defendant. However, there has been plenty of contradictory evidence by the defense that there is reasonable doubt that he committed these crimes. The lead detective is dirty, fabricated evidence and went against SOP specifically when conducting a critical part of the investigation (photo lineup)… Not to mention that a text message containing the defendants picture floated around the area after the crime was committed to taint the eye witness accounts. The victims all had varying recollections of what the suspect looked like, the type of gun that was being used, and contradicted testimony in many cases to suit their narrative many years after the crime was committed. The area was likely a gang territory and its reasonable to think that other people could have committed this murder against those people for other reasons related to gang ties. Even the star/final witness for the prosecution received a shortened sentence to testify against the defense and then changed his story on the stand in regards to what he thought the suspect looked like (originally said 6'1" 250-280 pounds twice on record / changed to 5'11" and 170-180 pounds on the stand the other day). Then, what I think is the strongest evidence for the defense, is the disability with his right hand/shoulder. "Could" he have learned a way to operate a gun/rifle with the injured hand or non-dominant left hand? Sure… but to think he could continually shoot a group of 6+ people, rack/pump the gun (according to victims testimony), under the control of a disabled hand that can barely move or a left hand (that nobody testified that he used to shoot with previously) seems very unlikely. Looking forward to the verdict.
Mr. Rogers is guilty, but he will probably be found NOT guilty.
Not Guilty.. This is the worst, most BORING, unexciting, uninteresting, confusing prosecution team I have ever seen. None of them know how to get the jurys interest, and that MATTERS. Even if Keetleys guilty, his lawyers have once again caused at worst a mis trial.. But I truly think not guilty this time. EXCELLENT job by the whole defense team top to bottom.
Didn't he shoot six people on Thanksgiving 2010, killing two brothers, and injuring four others.
Would anyone pick this judge out of a lineup of people posing as judges?
Thought DA might ask Dr next if Keetly grew a 3rd arm could he have used a firearm
Every single trial the Defendant has been found guilty 😢
I can’t believe he was found guilty in ANY trial with the evidence the state has presented
It will be a rocky road ahead.
Guilty….. This person was able to shoot…. His lawyer is reaching.
I like this judge, I'd watch another of his cases.
My intuition thinks he's guilty but the evidence hasnt been conclusive
The judge said he hopes to instruct before lunch. I think we will see a verdict tomorrow.
