Bodycam footage shows the arrest of an off-duty police officer for alleged drunk driving in Ohio. 28-year-old Anthony Armbruster, an officer with Elmwood Police Department, was found asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle smelling strongly of alcohol during an early morning traffic stop on July 14th conducted by St. Bernard police.

The video captures officers proceeding with a DUI investigation despite Armbruster being one of their own. He’s seen failing sobriety testing and refusing a breathalyzer while appearing in an intoxicated state, slurring his words. Armbruster admits on camera he won’t make it to work tomorrow and disregards that he has a court appearance pending in a matter of hours.

  1. DO NOT FEEL BAD FOR HIM –

Two months after being sworn in at Elmwood Place, he was accused of physically assaulting his 3-year-old twin boys and 5-year-old daughter after they made a mess.

A Boone County Sheriff's Office report says he was accused of throwing the "two young boys violently against a wall in a fit of rage" and "grabbing their daughter's face and screaming profanities."

  2. Let’s just all take note how these cops treat their buddy vs how me or you would have been treated.

  3. Arresting officer "feels bad about having to do this", only bc it's another blue lives matter… 😒🙄

  4. It's funny how police instantly evolved whispering to try and hide their conversations from body cameras. It took what, a few months to start trying to lie again?

  5. This is the one cop I think could’ve been given a break and if you disagree that’s on you but he did better on the test than I could do sober and I don’t think he was that drunk I think he stopped for the train and passed out and I think he has something going on in his life that’s causing him to pretty much live out of his car maybe going through martial issues but regardless he did good on the test and should’ve been given a break. This cop isn’t a brother I’d want to have my back because he cares more about himself than a brother. And this is coming from someone who never sides with a cops. But I also believe people deserve a chance to do better. If he was trashed like most police videos I see that’s different because they could’ve killed somebody he was not like that at all. I hope he gets some help and fixed whatever is wrong in his life

  6. I'm tired of seeing heroes getting framed and entrapped. When the police force was all Irish, nobody cared about booze. I'm a patrolman with Diplomtic Immunity for drunkn drive. Federal law overrules local laws. I cannot get a dwi per the president.

  7. So he was going to court for one DUI and before he showed up there he thought it was a good idea to drink again? Hopefully he gets some help

  8. I don’t feel they’d be this nice to a civilian who would be in the same predicament they called ems right away for him but they never do that for civilians they wait until they drive them to the hospital

  9. It's so sad when cops get dui's I know they are people and go through stuff like every one else. I just expect more I guess.
