In a disturbing incident caught on bodycam footage, Lavon Glenn, 49, of Daytona Beach, was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to children at Riverwalk Park in Port Orange on Saturday, August 5. According to the Port Orange Police Department, Glenn, who has an extensive criminal record, was parked “directly in front of the splash pad area of the park where several families were enjoying their Saturday morning,” and was “exposing himself in a vulgar and indecent manner.” When officers attempted to place Glenn under arrest, he resisted, fled in his vehicle, and nearly struck an officer with the door. A pursuit ensued, ending when Glenn’s vehicle became disabled in a gas station parking lot.

Glenn attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended with the assistance of the South Daytona Police Department, despite his struggle and resistance. He now faces a total of 10 charges, including seven felonies and a misdemeanor count for exposing himself, as well as battery on a law enforcement officer, fleeing and eluding, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Glenn, who has been in and out of jail more than a dozen times since 2002 for various offenses, was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail on a $23,500 bond.
