Stoffer’s driver’s license was expired at the time of her disappearance, but she still drove on a regular basis.

Several months before Barbara went missing, she accidentally drove her vehicle off the boat ramp parking lot onto some rocks and it had to be pulled out by a tow truck.

Authorities have searched for her in the Mississippi River multiple times and removed at least four cars, none of which turned out to be hers.

In this episode of Adventures with Purpose, we travel over 3000 from Oregon in search of lost valuables underwater making a stop in New Madrid, MO today in search of a missing 83-year-old grandma.

Foul play has not been ruled out for a witness thinks they saw another person in the car with Barbara, but not sure.

Stoffer has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression.

Maybe she drove herself into the Mississippi River.

When she ended up on the rocks a few months earlier, was it intentional or purely a car accident?

Her case remains unsolved.

  1. Keep up the good work!
Have you made any announcement regarding the young boy who you found but the family chose to have the sharif’s office handle it. The last show you watched the two divers go down for over fifteen minutes. You gave them privacy. Maintained a distance. Thank you for helping the families.

  2. My grandma had dementia and would end up miles and miles away. Which wasn’t normal for her. So we took her car away. You should look further out and away from the town. I had another grandmother who had a stroke and was confused and ended up 7 counties out.

  3. I know I’m late to commenting but the police report stated she was last seen on the highway heading west past Pharma. I would look a little outsid e pharma and see if there’s a body of water west of Pharma.

  5. What about on the Mo-WW road there is a bridge that could access a car very easy, A slip road called the 404 less than 8km east of where you are searching hear. Its called Mud Ditch.

  6. Jared you and your team are very special. I donated some time ago and I purchased yesterday 10 of the glass breakers yesterday to put in my kids Xmas stockings. Your demo with Doug was so good! I pray they never have to use them.
Thank you and stay safe always🙏👍

  7. This case is local to me. It's so sad. Going on 10 years she's been missing and no sign of her yet. If she did end up in the Mississippi, I dont think she'll ever be found, the currents too strong.

  8. So uh… Sam did it. This reminds me of taking my broken glasses to the optician's office with my toddler twins and I pointed to my son and said 'so that's the culprit, and this is what happened'.

  9. It seems that there used to be a lot of docks out there but apparently they corroded overtime because if there was full dock still you could push a car off it and nobody would know
