Our morning process started off a bit slow with many of these vehicles being so rusted, but by early afternoon, we were in full swing and pulled 8 cars out of the river.

Our real mission while in town is the search of Bill Simmons which took place this same day with other sonar and dive search teams in the area while we were performing environmental cleanup this day.

Bill left his home early one morning around 1:30 am in June.

It is believed Bill drove their Gold Toyota Camry to the river.

Thank you to Christy (Bill’s wife) for her support in bringing us into her family to help find and recovery Bill to bring him home and give her the answers she was looking for.

  1. What gets done with the cars you pulled like this that do not have someone inside of them? Do you sell the scrap metal or just take them to a junk yard? Or is it something else. Love your videos, I've been binging them !

  2. Awesome work guys, love your videos and what you do! I grew up right next to that boat ramp and fished there all the time. I always knew there were cars down there and glad someone finally pulled them out

  3. Yes, this video is a year old and I know I am late to the party. First of all, I have a great deal of respect for everyone involved and for the work that you folks are doing.
Having said that, Parts of this video are making me absolutely cringe. You absolutely need a far greater exclusion zone around the rigging when a pull is being performed. I have seen rigging failures with my own eyes, and in at least one case, it was ONLY the fact that everyone was a safe distance away that prevented a severe injury or death due to a hook flying through the air when the attachment point on a load failed.
Don't ever stop doing the great work you do. Just PLEASE respect the dangers of that rigging, ESPECIALLY when you are pulling very deteriorated loads that you are expecting to break apart at any time. Same goes for suspension springs on these old cars. They can still have deadly levels of stored energy which can be released suddenly as the car is pulled apart.

  4. I love this channel and i love these guys i am so glad you guys had the opportunity to come to Nashville , This is where i currently live at and i have always wondered about what or who maybe in the Cumberland river! Ive been following since day 1! Unfortunantly i would love to join the team but i just simply dont have the funds to do so. I make sure though to like and share all the time. You guys keep doing you!!!1 God bless each and everyone of you and your families! If you ever need a helping hand i would love to be apart of this! BEST SHOW WITH PURPOSE on Youtube! We need you on Netflix as well! Talk Later your fan Kayla Salazar-Hopkins

  5. I have feeling some of these cars are possibly from crimes like Insurance fraud or being stolen. However depending on the locations of the bodies of water, some of them could have been cars that were lost or destroyed in the flooding waters of the big flood that occurred in Nashville during 2010 l, that flooded places like the Oprymills mall and Opryland Hotel & Resort.

  6. Would it really be worse for the environment if these cars are not pulled from the river? I mean if they've been there for 20 or more years what additional damage can they do?

  7. How do so many cars end up in the river like that? Like when it’s someone trying to hide a body it’s one thing but that wasn’t the case here.

  8. Any time you find a vehicle related to a missing person, that law enforcement agency should watch your channel. You could get that car out of the water in half the time it takes their divers. They’re just not used to underwater vehicle recovery like you are. That 4 car pile up recovery was a sight to behold!!

  9. This is so frustrating to watch when the car is dragged over the side of the boat ramp. Why wouldn't you move the rig to where you can lift it up more. The rusted car was falling apart and oil spilling everywhere. Also would have been nice to see when others were locating and setting up the cars to be pulled out. Lastly, all of these videos are out of focus 95% of the time.

  10. Wow, never knew there was so many cars in that river! You guys do an amazing job! Keep up the good work! Thankyou also fo giving closer to a lot of families in your other videos!

  11. Truly dedicated. So rewarding. Thank you for cleaning the environment, recovering these vehicles and searching for Bill Simmons !!!! PS – I stayed at the Gaylord Hotel in Nashville & it is BEAUTIFUL there.

  12. Hello. Just a fan from Bogota, Colombia β€œthe land of coffee”. The work you do is absolutely incredible. With this all new technology family’s with lost loved ones, have more hope. Wish you the best, Saludos !

  13. What a lot of fun to watch! Thanks to Dad's Towing (!) and to Gaylord Opryland for putting them up. We fans really appreciate you guys.

  14. great job guys glad you were able to get so many rustbuckets out of the water to help clean up nature ….. the scrapyard i bet was happy to receive those to add to the shredder

  15. For how long they have been in the water and how rotted some of these cars have become, I would not doubt that perhaps at some point many decades ago there may have been a body in a few of these.
