Daytona public officials have lost their minds. Over preparing for nothing. You made rules to make it impossible for tourist and people that would come and spend money in your community.
Permitting, okay.
Now you have sent the event to another city. Moneys that would have been spent in your city is sent elsewhere. You are proud that you just cost your community 100's of thousands of dollar of revenue. Oh, you are so proud of taking the revenue away.
Tell that to the business owners. A little inconvenience for the people doesn't warrant your rules.
Yes make the promoters do what all other promoters have to do. There is a cost to put on an event. Make it available to the promoters. Dont threaten them.

According to this sheriff it's against the law to promote event that friend of yours told you about if you find out about an event and you post information about it so other people can find it which is under the first amendment that's freedom of speech and freedom of the press they're going to go after you yourself and charge you for anything that's a taxpayers are already paying for

If you look in the motor vehicle code they are acceptance and exemptions and there are limits I have seen that street legal vehicles that were lifted eight feet up in the air and what they had to do to make it street legal was lower the headlights down lower to the ground same with the tail lights they had to put it at a certain height
