1. Gastonia PD tried to keep us out of last night's city council meeting, but it backfired and the media showed up to cover us outside, so they ended up letting us come in to speak (one at a time). My speech to the council is on my channel.

   The reason they're fighting so hard to kill this story is twofold: first, Maurice Taylor III is the officer who tased Sunshine and arrested Joshua , and his father Maurice Taylor Jr. is the head of Internal Affairs. Second, this incident is part of a long standing pattern of abuse of homeless people and veterans in Gastonia, and they do not want the public to know that. Which, of course, is even more reason the public needs to know.

   We are going back every month until they do the right thing.

2. I'm all for Joshua getting justice for Sunshine that he deserves but you guys are going after the wrong govt entities. Go after the lawmakers in NC and get them to make police bodycams mandatory and for public view if a request is made. From my understanding the corrupt judge there denied every request made and publicly made Facebook comments on this case on Gastonia PD site.

14. When they won't release the video, it's because it absolutely shows them as the bad guys.

    We need them to realize that as bad as the truth is, what we assume is probably worse.
    And that video only exposed a few bad cops. Hiding it exposes the entire department.

18. I do sorta see why he thinks u putting his picture in the video would make it seem like he was the one who did it. I’m so on ur side, and so appreciate ur work, I see ur point of view. But to put a picture of the man exactly at the time you mention the details off the arrest… I have a bit of understanding. That being said, I know a bunch of people from Gastonia, and they think Gastonia police are super corrupt.
