The legal maximum altitude to fly a drone is 400 ft, and it looked to me like he was below 200 ft. As a 9 year drone pilot I'm pretty good at judging distance and height. Those palm trees are probably about 50 ft tall and the drone wasn't that far above them. The legal minimum altitude for an airplane or helicopter is 500 ft. So the chance of a drone and an airplane hitting each other is extremely small.
