Fresno, California — Fresno Police Department released bodycam footage of an officer-involved shooting that took place near Woodward Park in December. The 26-year-old man identified as Ryan Brooks was critically wounded in the shooting about 10:30 p.m. Dec. 22, according to police. Officers shot Brooks outside Fort Washington Fitness, where the call appeared to originate, at the shopping center near North Friant Road and Fort Washington Avenue in northeast Fresno. The video shows the officers fire more than a dozen rounds, and continue to fire after Brooks went to the ground. Police say he was still a threat as he was seated. According to investigators, Brooks survived the shooting and say he was cited on two misdemeanor charges relating to the incident.

  1. OK I was wondering why the officer was grilling him so hard on the phone. It's not the first case of someone self-reporting to 911 in order to get shot.

  2. Goes to show the whole "they didnt have to shoot him so many times" argument is such a moot point. Home boy here ate 17 rounds and lived to tell the tale.

  3. Poor guy, had 17 chances to die via suicide by police and still didn’t do it right. On the other hand, 17 shots by police makes their own shot placement questionable 🤔

  4. So many shots after he's already down on the floor. I guess they didn't want any bullets left in the clip because it would be a hassle

  5. Police should feel like trash I’d be scared to even follow commands you do anything they shoot and don’t stop they cowboy kids with guns . Fear isn’t respect

  6. Seeing comments saying the amount of shots fired was unnecessary.

Y'all simping for mass shooters now? Dude said he was going to shoot up the whole parking lot. What side are y'all on?

  7. I thought they banned toy guns in California. Cops are supporting a corrupt government by staying there. They should go to a better place that isn't pure evil.
