This looks to me like the citizen is the one that saved this woman the cop got out of the water as the rear window went under! Can’t tell for certain but I don’t think the cop did anything here but bust the window! I might be wrong but that’s what it looks like to me! Either way I am glad she’s good and all that helped deserve much gratitude! This woman has a lawsuit against the state though for there not being guardrails to keep this from happening!

so if you are gonna hit the door windows you need to hit the bottom corners. and preferably use a baton or knife with the window breaker tip. i edc both just for issues like this or some sort of crash. i recommend the knife that has both breaker and seat belt cutter if they cant release the belt for some reason. just using a knife runs the risk of injuring trapped person. good on both for goin in to help the lady.

It's very difficult to break windows in vehicles, I've seen videos using different things to break them! Go to your hardware store and ask for a special tool! You just never know when you need one.
Its a good thing these officers weren't to busy checking window tint on minivans and were able to respond to this important call for service . Nice to see police doing actual police work.
Hey I almost did that once I used to deliver pie, actually I almost drove into a canal on the way to work more recently also in Sarasota, with all of the storms and high tide the water level was really high and in the dark at look like a parking lot that just had a little bit of water on the surface😔

Shit that's crazy. Glad she's ok shew. Bless all that helped her. I myself didn't realize a ditch was in-between highway and went down it. And couple good ppl immediately stopped and helped us get out. Thankfully they still good ppl out here

Your head rest in most all vehicals is removable just for this reason. Pull it out of the seat and you can break your window
The reason it sank is because when they punched the window out it released the air that was creating buoyancy. Good thing they were able to act quickly
