Just A Normal 8:30 AM, Drunk In The Twister’s Parking Lot

Note: There are a few parts in this video where the subject is just sitting around without much happening. As you will see, I sped those up and added text noting that I did so.

Enjoy!

  1. I'm less than 2min in, and not defending drunk drivers in any way, but I find it really annoying when cops do stuff like this. Dude is sleeping. He could have been kicked out by his girlfriend late last night. He could be recently homeless and struggling. Hell, the law says to pull over and sleep if you're too tired to drive; he could be doing that. It is not fun or comfortable to sleep in a car, and it usually means that you're having a shitty night, at the very least, so why are you waking him up? He's not dead. He's clearly not passed out at the wheel. Just leave him alone

Eta: alright the cop was cool, and the dude was an idiot, but still.

  2. He was asleep how do we know keys were in ignition? I haven’t seen it on the bodycam yet? That’s a stupid law, if he was in the driver’s seat maybe?

  3. I can't believe the Officer let him get back in car to sit……usually they make you sit on curb so there is no access to a weapon…..officer was very cool though….watched more and saw he made him stay outside car….amazing how alcohol effects some…..I have friends who act like this…..

  4. Good on him for not driving. Cop was kind of being a prick. But smart enough to know a decent lawyer could beat a DUI charge in that scenario.

  5. Love how the cop handled this, for the most part. He could have easily charged a DWI, but he chose to help the guy out. Maybe he figured the guy was at least trying to be responsible by sleeping it off/sobering up instead of driving. It's nice to see these discretionary calls and good deeds. Even though he seemed really annoyed at the drunk guy and wouldn't goof along with him, he did him a huge favor, and I bet that guy was so grateful and embarrassed afterwards (especially if he saw the video). Could have shaken his hand at the end, though, and told him to get home safe. Guy meant no harm and was nice, even though he constantly forgot what he was supposed to be doing.

  6. 12:16 Hilarious!
    [Here's your citation] "Fair enough."
[Sign here] "I DON'T WANNA DO IT."
[Fine then you can go to jail] "Alright let's do it. Pen please."

  7. THIS COP DEFINITELY HAD A CHIP ON HIS SHOULDER… NOT TOO MUCH BUT ENOUGH TO BE FELT. SAME LINE I USED WITH MY WIFE 20 YEARS AGO…. HAVE 8 EIGHT KIDS NOW. BUT WE ARE NOT ON WELFARE. SO SCREW EVERYONE WHO THOUGHT WE WERE.

  8. To be honest it’s best to stop and sleep it off. This cop is in the wrong in this case. That’s the first time I’ve said that on a video here

  9. Ok, yes the cop could have been nicer, maybe he was having a bad day… However, once establishing contact with the (funny) but intoxicated man and seeing an open container of hard alcohol in the from seat of his car, the officer had a duty to make sure that things did not progress to him waking up and deciding to drive. The officer did what he needed to and got him a taxi home. It was a happy ending… this time.

  10. No I'm here to take your order dude 😉😜😂🤣. Nice 👍😎😊 Cop, Who dressed you…do it dude
