Arrest of Lil’ Pump: Behind The Scenes With Miami-Dade Police (Part I) – Everything Law and Order Blog

In one of our biggest stories to date, Real World Police has exclusively acquired footage from the December 2018 arrest of music sensation Lil’ Pump and his manager Dooney Battle. Over the coming days we will be sharing it with you, taking you on a journey into the inner circle of a contemporary music and pop culture icon.

On December 13, 2018 certified-triple-platinum rapper Lil’ Pump was arrested at Miami International Airport after a baggage handler reported the presence of a bag that “reeked of weed.” Examination of that bag revealed that it was tagged with Pump’s given name: Gazzy Garcia. Pump and his entourage were deplaned and ultimately were denied boarding as an epic shouting match ensued between Pump & Co. and responding officers from Miami-Dade Police Department.

Complicating the situation was the fact that the bag actually wasn’t Garcia’s, and all – well, at least most – of his frustrated protestations were eventually revealed to have been truthful. But they had crossed the line, said the cops, between ‘trying to resolve an annoying situation’ and disorderly conduct.

At least, that’s what the cops told him. You see,. Real World Police has not only obtained body camera footage from this incident, but we have obtained that footage without a single redaction. Which means that not only will you be provided with an inside look into the arrest, but also with an unprecedented window into the thoughts and decision-making process of responding officers and their supervisors. Never before has footage like this been made available.

Media reports at the time of Pump’s arrest indicated that the rapper had been arrested on a disorderly conduct charge, but neither the media nor the general public knows the full extent of what happened that afternoon at Miami International Airport.

Come along, because we are about to change that.

Note: This incident took place at Miami International Airport. Redactions have been made in order to avoid revealing operational and security procedures, access codes, and the like. Similarly, the personal information of Lil’ Pump and his traveling companions has been redacted. (Just because Lil’ Pump is a public figure doesn’t mean everyone should have his phone number.)

  1. “The gravy train you are all riding on”
F that dude, they all earn their money, guy they are searching has his own clothing company.

  2. To everyone saying “well cops have a bad day sometimes, you don’t know what is going on in his life, everyone is human”
I work at an assistant living/retirement home and I have had some bad days, I have never yelled at an old person or coworker, it’s not hard.

  3. The police made it disorderly by ASSUMING so now WE TAX CATTLE have to pay for the LAWSUIT yup Tax (extorted money) dollars are used to payback lawsuits when POLICE VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION

  4. Officer due to my personal religion I smoke weed and need to have it with me at all times for my spiritual well being… Praise Jesus, God, Allah, Imhotep, and the Mobile Infantry.

  5. These Miami cops are serious tools. They didn't have to do all this shit. They WANTED to bust these people. They could have verified the bags 2 different ways and chose not to apparently bc airport bag checkers NEVER make mistakes. These are the kind of cops that give all cops a bad name.

  6. This is what people mean when they talk about the insanity of certain cops. It isn’t illegal to have clothes smelling like weed. All cops should be fired. I’ve called Miami Dade Police Professional Compliance. Most cops work hard and save lives – I’ll always admire and support those ones. But I especially detest the Hispanic female officer who thought it was appropriate to give lessons on personal hygiene; the black guy in the purple shirt whom she was speaking to, was clearly demoralized, he felt disempowered, he was overly self-deprecating as he described a prior event in Denmark. This is trauma, this is what it’s like to be vilified by the people sworn to protect you. Enjoy unemployment and arbitration, officers! You think a cop is the most powerful thing to be? Police forces across the nation who perpetuate bad actors amongst their ranks are being awoken to exactly how powerful the YouTube-browsing professional class can be at identifying and holding these bad actors accountable within the same system they expected to protect their evil acts. The general public is smarter than you think we are. Stop the police mob mentality; lose your cool and lose your job.

  7. If u didn't find anything..u fucked up his bag..atleast help him fold it back dumb police…I don't even like lil pump but I hate this typa cops more

  8. Yet in that police officer was redirecting the blame towards him like as if he was responsible for having to be awake after being on an aeroplane for his suitcase that was accused of being in possession of a narcotic based off of an indication that they didn't even verify from the beginning

  9. These police are so fucking stupid they feel so stupid I know that they do because no person is obligated to have to wash their clothes no matter how they smell when they're in a suitcase when travelling on an aeroplane they're just pissed off because they're wrong and they thought that they were right.

  10. They should have searched it the second they find it and trace the number, not waste time to ask everyone in the airport is this full of drugs bag for you lol

  11. I love how the cop returns and lies to him. He’s lecturing him on lying and then the cop comes back saying oh we are ready got the story the cop didn’t get shit even the personal escort Police is saying that he didn’t check in those bags. But it’s OK for the cop to lie and it’s all praise the cop for lying but when he lies to the cop oh my God the cop is pissed

  12. Cops get mad when they feel trolled … just shows how they abuse power when they think they know something they are actually entirely wrong about, then patronize about how much cloths someone has? Pathetic

  13. The cops did a really bad job descalating that situation. Rediculous. And they still take them in. The cops were more out of control then them. They were just freaking out cause they thought they were being set up. They might not even have known that was their friends bag. Its literally a big black bag which is probably the most common bag to see at an airport. They probably instantly thought they were being set up or it was a mix up and they were going to go to jail over it. I would freak out too.
