not too exciting, i had been waiting around for a couple hours, almost called it a night when I heard Sh*ts fired over the scanner- and jammed over….was able to get right up in it, being asked to move once, then a 2nd time (cuz i didn’t move the 1st time) then just a lot of standing around, and I notice all these officers and only 1 has striped…..what’s that all about? let me know your thoughts~Please thumbs up, share and subscribe

  1. The older cops could be former military. All services have their own active duty cops; Army MP's, Navy "master at arms", etc. Many like to continue working in this field after service or retirement. They get no seniority credit for military service.

  12. Im confused. Was this all younger cops? Or older cops that hadn't been promoted. Also, I know its not usually the point of your videos, but any idea what they were responding to? I dont really speak cop-radio-speke.

  13. What's the deal on the fireman/medic that took off his gloves and tossed them on top of the dumpster?? He could disposed of them inside the ambulance, now they become liter. I guess it's ok since it isnt his neighborhood!!

  14. Hey Laura.. I just want to point out that what you and all the other auditors are doing is NO different from what reporters used to do. In the 1920s through the 50s reporters used to respond to scenes and report on them in the papers. Often reporters arrived before cops and got photos of the dead or close ups. Who ever had the best shot sold it to the papers. This is an age old protected activity and I watch it for the news. And by the way.. I am a retired detective and lawyer. I offer advise sometimes to you all. Keep up the good work and the fight.. we need our rights.

  15. I really love how you ask the question about stripes and then start answering it yourself, you're a pretty smart cookie! I think maybe it's not a leader/follower thing as much as some of these guys are ego/adrenaline — not money driven, so making low 6 figures is fine with them. If they move up they don't get to get out on the streets and thump nearly as many heads.

  24. Huh…that EMT, great job on "disposal" of gloves used in treatment of shooting victim. NOT! Throw them on top of closed dumpster. Do they leave syringes out for the junkies too? Embarrassing..to that profession as well.

  28. 04:58 "single stripe" in many areas they bring in retired police. You see them mostly working DWI. The reason? It ups their old lesser retirement pay too today's rates. Another tactic used here. No matter who works the over time for the year. It goes towards the retiring officer's total. Yeah you guess it. The officer's pension is based on the last year's earnings.

  30. Btw, I've noticed cops like using cellphones these days to keep communications private, off the radio. How does that work on a F.O.I.A. request??
