The WRONG Way to Let a Cop Know You are Carrying Concealed – Everything Law and Order Blog

I may be late to the party, but I just discovered this firearms “training” guy that goes by VODA, Inc (I’m uncertain if that’s his actual or business name at this point). I need to look more into this guy but wanted to get this response out to his concealed carry in a vehicle instructions which SHOULD NOT BE FOLLOWED.

My buddy AngryCops made a perfectly sarcastic response to Voda. I really hope Voda is a good guy and give him the benefit of the doubt that he just doesn’t realize how terrible this advice is.

  1. It's like this.. for one if you took a ccw permit class and training you would already know is never pull it out. Law enforcement already knows if you're a ccw by running your tag. Another is like he said, put arms where they can see them and repeat after me.. I have permit to carry and I'm armed. Ten out of ten if you are legit he will say ok that's fine but remain as you are until officer is done or if he orders you out. Tell him where it's located.

  2. I’ve been pulled over a couple of times for stuff like expired registration. I simply hand the officer my license and HCP at the same time. They ask me where it is. I tell them. They tell me to keep my hands away from it. From that point everything proceeds exactly as normal. It really isn’t a big deal at all.

  3. I just tell the cop I'm carrying, where my gun is & that I've no intention of harming him. Usually get a thanks & sometimes get to talk ab guns. Cops in Kansas aren't worried if you're not acting like an idiot. In fact I may have gotten out of my truck being unlawfully towed (due to not having insurance) because I was carrying. All I know is he kept telling me how he could tow my truck if he wanted but he didn't. Called it a warning lol

  4. My state does not require that i tell the police i have a firearm therefor its absolutely none of your damn business whats in my car officer.

  5. If you're a concealed carrier it should be on your registration somehow… Just saying… The police officer should be able to run your plates and automatically know just like you have insurance it should pop up on his computer this guy conceal carries he may have a weapon

  6. Wait a minute….. I thought the guy inside the car was just being satirical and angry cops is trolling him for fun…… Didnt realise it was the actual advise

  7. Jesus Christ is Lord God of all! God bless you all! Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is too difficult for the Lord our God, with Christ, ALL things are possible!

  8. we all know the best way to let him know youre armed is to annouce this in a clear audible way.
i strongly recommend the occasional warning shot, that way you cant be misunderstood
