Police received a call about a seal in distress at Main Beach, East Hampton, NY.

No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. All donations will be used exclusively to further this cause. Specifically, we  need to upgrade our computer, video editing software and purchase additional video gear.   1. What a huge bummer that we live in a day when a seal comes up to where people are to get good back scratched and everyone's to afraid to touch him because it's probably a felony.

  8. That was awesome to see a seal 🦭 hanging out on the local beach 🏖 📸 maybe 🤔 he was about to get eaten by a shark 🦈 and that’s a way to stay save for him for a while to get some rest like you said from swimming 🏊‍♂️ for his life. 🤷‍♂️

Cool ! it's nice to see the softer side of life, ( nature has a direct way to teach us from right and wrong ,and it's usually a answer that is direct with our any interpretation) but if only man could come to the conclusion it don't have to be a dog eat dog world we know that everybody has a bite

  20. 1 minute in.. my guess is seal ran from a hungry shark, looks like a good flipping video, will continue watching now to seal my thoughts about it 🙂

  30. While down at Beach Lane in Wainscott a couple years ago, we had a seal that looked like this one, stranded on the beach. We called the Riverhead Animal Marine rescue, and they came out to "assess" it. They said if it looked sick, they'd take it back to Riverhead. We asked what the signs of sickness was, and they said "lethargy, pale mouth, and superficial wounds." The next day, I got up when the sun did, and walked the beach. At first I was happy because I couldn't find the little fella…but after walking further west, I spotted it way up on the dunes near Georgica. I called Riverhead back, because it seemed to have difficulty breathing, and it's mouth had changed from pink, to pale. Riverhead sent a person to meet me, and they took the seal in a dog crate, and brought it back to Riverhead. There, it was evaluated by their experts, and the little seal was kept in quarantine for several weeks while it was treated for a condition they referred to us as "chicken pox, but the seal kind." Anyway, after months in captivity, the Riverhead Rescue group released the little guy back into the ocean. Although wildlife experts will recommend you stay away from wildlife, sometimes they do need our help. Being vigilant, and caring about the world, matters. Thanks for your footage of this little baby…hope it turns out to have the same happy ending…minus a stay in Riverhead!!
