EXPLAINED: Why A Cop Would Draw A Gun In His Car

In a recent video I saw while cruising the internet superhighway, I came across an annoying guy with a limited vocabulary who decided to spend a few minutes harassing a border patrol agent in his fully marked vehicle.

Judge for yourself as to whether or not this guy even deserved this much of an answer. Hopefully I shed a little light on why a cop would pull his gun as you walk up to him in a car.

  1. I love that I pinned the troll to the top and he got piled on so hard with FACT that he deleted his comment and tucked tail and ran. Good job friends!

  2. TLDR it’s just a cop and his buddy playing the “Don’t get caught slacking challenge” points glock at his friend jk but for real though the citizen approaching him is ridiculous and I hope he rolls up on every ghetto car parked sus in his neighborhood doing the same dumbass thing lol any random person who’s been suspiciously watching me then approach’s me with a phone pointed like he’s filming IM GONNA BE ASSUMING he’s the next Facebook live shooter waiting to happen I ain’t waiting for shit to find out if it’s water squirted or some real steel

  3. (Not a peace officer) but I’ve done the same thing. In a vehicle your are limited to movement and in a bad position so ya it’s a good idea

  4. My son's a cop and if some douchbag wanted to hurt him I'd want my son to be the one who walked away from that fight.

  5. i once had a dragrace with the boarder patrol. i was with my Mom
    practicing driving for my permit.
    This was out in COWSVILLE!!!
Was a straight stretch of road so we could see if someone was coming….
    They were on the. Inside.
    They won,
as i slowed up 'causea curve was coming.💙💙😚🤗💙💙🙋

  6. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior turn away from your sins treat others how you want to be treated love others love God with your everything spread the word Christ Jesus Please

  7. I made the mistake of approaching a police car in the Bronx late at night from behind his car just to ask for directions (my husband at the time was a CLUELESS truckdriver!) I caught him by surprise, he flung his door open had his weapon ready to shoot! HOLY SHNIKIES! and he says "Whats wrong with you?? You wanna get shot!!???" Never made that mistake again?

  8. old school deputy here. working the jail, my buddy and I went for breakfast. Sitting in the car, all the sudden this old lady is in my window. Passenger side. Slapped my .357 out the holster and was aiming thru my door. would have hit the midsection. Scared the Shit out of my buddy. he recognized the sound. He had just bought a mustang that looked exactly like the new interceptor model that the Highway Patrol had bought. Lady said, is this the new car for MSP? Luckily, I didn't shoot the gun. I said, no, just looks like it. She smiled and walked away. I almost collapsed because I had my finger on the trigger and was gonna unload the gun. Just like a cute dog you don't know, don't surprise them.

  9. There's been plenty of cases where citizens walked up to a cop sitting in there car and killed that police officer, I totally get it. It happened in my state of WA in Seattle on one Halloween night wile kids were trick or treating. That police officer was just doing paperwork when a so-called citizen walked up to him a shot him to death.

  10. The CBP officer has a point. With the violence visited upon CBP officers they can't be too careful. The CBP is a federal law enforcement agency. There really wasn't a reason for the civilian to approach and interrogate the officer. What if someone was coming up to the other window with a gun to waste the officer while his attention was focused on the confrontational "concerned citizen?"

  11. Border patrol agents of all people know they have a huge target on their backs. I don't blame him one bit for having his weapon out for some random idiot walking up to his car. Could have been a nosy douchebag, could have been a cartel foot soldier.

  12. Fuck that cop that’s bullshit I can understand if he had hand on his gun but not out of his holster

  13. Them: Who is your supervisor!

    Officer: I’m the sheriff.

Them: I want to know who is your supervisor!

    Officer: I’m the sheriff.

    Them: Who is your supervisor!

Officer: I’m the sheriff of the entire county.

  14. So I have done this to a cop and as long as you are nice to them they will leave. My house used to be a perfect hiding spot for a stop sign that people always ran. I would have to ask the cops hiding behind my house to not do that as it really isn't fair for the driver. They never pulled a gun on me or said no. But I also wan't an asshole to them. Your attitude causes most of your life problems…

  15. Border patrol agent doesn’t have to tell him shit! I would’ve charged the guy with obstruction! In fact did on a surveillance in Detroit we were rolled upon by DPD! Officer didn’t get the concept of feds doing a surveillance! Yes you can draw your weapon inside the vehicle! Border Patrol Agents are targets here in Arizona! The citizen was out of line! And was most likely there to distract the Agent so smugglers can get by etc! Happens all the time!

  16. mark sawyers is my cousin and exactly who i thought about when i seen this he was in his patrol car in a parking lot and got shot by a shotgun and KIA i respect this custom agent being safe and alert

  17. Nothing worse than a disrespectful person…that does not know the law…

    but thinks he does…

thanks for recording your stupidity…is actually entertaining

  18. When an officer is in his vehicle, parked or driving, I assume he is working. If someone approaches with intent to distract, confront, or do anything other than ask for assistance, they are obstructing (in my opinion).
