  1. It means close combat, going houses to house clearing the enemy. That’s what he meant y’all took it all the way home

  2. He definitely said "gorilla." The context was very clear. He thought he could find a loophole with "guerilla" but no way. Also, yeah people are way too sensitive these days.

  3. It is apparently a style of tennis play he was referring to. Read the following:

An April 2, 2012, Sports Illustrated story had the following headline: "Daily Bagel: Agnieszka Radwanska Playing 'Guerrilla Tennis.'" The headline referred to a March 31, 2012, profile and interview of Radwanska by tennis writer Peter Bodo on Tennis.com, which included: "The adjectives that come to mind to describe Radwanska are: Implacable; remote; unflappable; leisurely; languid; measured. … Hers is a game of the insurgent. It's guerrilla (emphasis added) tennis — especially against taller, more powerful, more physical rivals

  4. There's a special place in hell for blacks who play victim. Getting that poor man fired, you libtard snowflakes got your dumbass feelings hurt that you lied on this poor man.

  5. NOT the same thing Charlemagne… The Hammertones are a light gentle Hee Haw… the normal Hee Haw is the hard version… Remy Ma is the Savage Hee Haw!!!

  6. Male western gorillas display a wide range of both vocal and gestural communications when threatened by an opponent. A silverback (alpha male) will start hooting, throwing, chest pounding, leg kicks, and sideways running when approached. This is done to intimidate the opponent and show physical abilities without actually making any physical contact. The charge is a warning , not a full attack. Look at a "charging gorilla" video. The action has nothing to do with racism, it is a behavior.

  7. THIS WAS NOT A CASE OF POOR CHOICE OF WORDS – IT'S ONLY THE RACISTS WHO HEAR WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR – THOSE WHO WERE OFFENDED WERE THE REAL RACISTS!!! JESUS CHRIST THE SJW ARE THE MOST DISGUSTING PACK OF HYENA RACISTS U COULD EVER IMAGINE

  8. There is NO WAY a commentator would say a racist comment on air. This isn't like Jimmy the Greek and his racist comments: https://goo.gl/WznH4h

Adler said "…see Venus move in and put the guerrilla effect on her…" This metaphor was often taught in middle school… when they were still educating kids before the advent of the cel phone and decline in intelligence and common sense of American youth. This term "guerrilla effect" was used to describe the tactics of the freedom fighters during the War of Independence (are you listening you "white "patriots?) in defeating the British Redcoats. It is an unconventional style of attack using surprise tactics and muscle.

Venus was charging the net to thrown off her opponent during the match with great effect.

It was a poor choice of words because of her race but Adler apologized. ESPN buckled under pressure from rapists like Roethlisberger. It is often tools like him that cry "foul" loudest to mask over their own guilt and repressed racism. Like the conservative politicians and religious leaders who oppose non-traditional marriages and homosexuality and are then busted for adultery or public bathroom shenanigans themselves.

  9. You see how ignorant Charlamagne is. Please, I am black so don't come for me. Settle Down. Guerilla has nothing to do with animals or primates. The level of ignorance is skyscraper high

  10. Racist see racism everywhere ! If you are foolish enough to fall for the racial divide con, then you are foolish enough to fall to tyrants who wish to rule you .

  11. people are dumb…learn the sport before giving your two cents on whether someone should be fired or not.. learn when and when not to fight.

  12. Intention is vital. Man probably had no bad intentions; people attacking him probably did by trying to profile themselves as social justice warriors to their followers.

Charlamagne is the donkey by not acknowledging that; plus, with al this fake racism shit real cases might be neglected through all the fuzziness.

  13. As a pro commentator/analyst/white guy he should be aware. But most old white people i've encountered are racist. Some more open than others. You don't get to play dumb here. I'm glad he got shitcanned

  14. He will win his lawsuit against ESPN, and I would love to help fund his attempt, because I heard nothing wrong. People cry about words too much. Big companies keeps catering to this crap, and it sickens me. This catering is ruining our nation and the blatant double standard I see from the other end that is brushed off is unbelievable. The 21st century "Untouchables" is the direction we are moving. Prime example, look up Symone Sanders and compare her comments that have kept her in her job. Direct racism that goes "untouched"

  15. Wtf he got fired for that…..white people let me apologize to y'all that was stupid that wasn't even racist to me

  16. The people always pulling out the race card are the real racists.  This shit makes me sick.  And this is the reason Trump won.

  17. Good!, I'm glad  he was fired.
    1. He should have chosen his words more carefully. Of all the words, Doug Adler could have used to describe Venus William's play on the tennis court, he had to use "gorilla" or as he says "guerilla"? Cmon , nobody is buying that lame ass excuse.2.  Ive been watching tennis for years , I have never heard a commentator use the word "guerilla" as jargon in reference to any tennis strategies  or tactics. NEVER. NOT EVEN ONCE.  3. Google: "Guerilla Tennis Tactic" or "Guerilla Tennis strategy", what comes up? Only Adler's comments, that's it. Where's this tennis jargon Adler claims, that makes his use of "guerilla" acceptable? It doesn't exist.4. Adler's a commentator for a living. His job involves monitoring what he says as viewers cant see him, they mainly hear what he's saying , as they pay attention to the tennis game. As a commentator,  he has to be particularly mindful of any comments that he makes that can be perceived as a racial, in any way as to not offend any viewers. THAT IS HIS JOB. HE WASNT DOING HIS JOB.  You "slip up" once, you lose your job , sometimes. That's life, that's how shit goes sometimes, deal with it.
    5. ESPN is an organization, like any, who is about their money. Adler is fucking up the money. Point blank, period. ESPN has any and all right to fire ANYONE who is putting the organizations reputation, viewership, business dealings,  in harms way. Adler didn't get fired for his comments technically, he got fired for potentially opening that door of racial speech which could possibly limit ESPN's business endeavors or viewership. Makes perfect sense, he got fired.

  18. Message to black people. Don't sound like the ignorant donkey host on this lame show. He confuses a tennis journalist by the name of Ben Rothenberg with football quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. If that wasn't bad enough he then refers to the journalist as Rothenberger. I guess this genius figured he would merge the two names and cover his bases. What a complete tool. As one of the white people he refers to I sure don't  need a message from some ignorant fool as what to say or not to say. You're about as sharp as the other fool Steve Harvey.

  19. Black folks need special treatment now. Anyone who's not black, don't call Marshawn "beast mode" anymore. You will be racist if you do. WTF have we become.

  20. people are reaching… guerilla warfare meaning an aggressive press approach… I'm pro black n this is even sickening to me

  21. why is everything a joke to CTG. and that's why he's a bi***. That's why he forever needs to be checked regarding situations like these and he throws a joke around to try and lighten up the content. His voice does nothing for us as a ppl and he's not even funny… Glad to give the show ratings so that I can continue to see my ppl on but hoping they could get a replacement for this guy. He a cancer for real.

  22. he's NEVER used the word when commentating on other tennis matches.
and then he just so happens to say it during a venus match.
people are very gullible if they think he didnt mean gorilla,,,he was trying to be slick, but it backfired.
