10. I'm so very sorry for your lost! I know time has passed but losing a brother has to be one of the worst. I was raised in an almost entirely military family. I met my husband while he was in the Army. I know it's very different. But, I believe the brotherhood is quite similar. There is a bond there. My brother was in the military law enforcement for 32 years. Luckily he's retired. I can't imagine my life without him. As I can't imagine how difficult it must be for you. I pray for you, as I pray for our troops. Our heros don't always wear capes! However sometimes they do wear uniforms! God Bless!

18. I feel for you brother, my deepest condolences to you man. I lost one of my brothers almost 10yrs now in the line of duty. We graduated the same academy class. Ken was a good cop and well liked by everyone who got to know him. He really was a good guy, a big teddy bear people who knew him would say. Still miss him, I will never forget him. 🙏😞

19. DOC Staff here. We lost 2 in as many months 2 years ago by inmate attacks. It still hurts.

20. My city had our first on duty death almost 10 years ago. On his funeral day, people were stacked 2 & 3 deep along the procession route. Not one dry eye was seen.

25. Mike, my father and my Uncle Mike, (Yes his name was Mike) were both police officers. Thankfully they both lived to retirement! I always admired them and was always proud to say to people that they were officers. And as a teen I was a BAD kid and was surrounded by people that didn't like to hear that. You have brought tears to my eyes and a new sense of pride to my heart today! Thank you for sharing and thank you for being out there protecting those in your community. They are blessed to have you!
