  3. The reason they are so good now is because of previous lawsuits. The lawsuit mandated police training in the 1st amendment, and specifically public photography. The police did not accept public photography until the lawsuits and their judgments from the courts forced it down their throats. Your predecessors forced it down their throts.

  15. Crazy I would have spoke up and said and were looking for police and public officials to not violate or rights because we technically can leave the window up and say not answering no questions and i do not consent for a search of my papers unless you suspect me for a crime. Am I detained

  18. I live and go to school in Colorado Springs. I was afraid at first of moving out here because it has a reputation for being conservative, but I have found to really enjoy the place a lot. There's a lot of great scenery out here. Glad you got to stop by!

  27. If you look like you have a commercial camera or look like you might have a cam where you can sell the pics, like I have a Nikon P1000, they can fine you for it in the Garden of the Gods. They want you to pay like $500 year for the permit. You might look into it.

  30. Colorado Springs has a history of some hefty payouts for violating photographer's rights. Hopefully they have finally learned the law…thanks to the payouts. I hope their citizens have put their feet to the fire because in the end, it's the citizens who foot the bill.

  31. I think for the most part folks are relaxed here in Colorado Springs. There are a handful sprinkled about that are jerk offs tho.

    I've seen all kinds of audits done in one I would really love to see if you ever find your way back out here would be the Colorado springs Airport!

    I know personally and I've heard most recently the folks around there are not exactly friendly about the 1st amendment, or many of the other rights.

    I can't think of a single authority figure or staff member that works in a power position in that place who doesn't act like they are entitled. Now it's been a while since I've been behind the scenes at that place… But I know for a fact they are breaking several laws and security policies including TSA and airport staff. seems hypocritical for them to be so uptight with everybody else but so laid back with the rules concerning thmselves.

    Otherwise great audit!

    Honestly the place is a joke…

  32. Omg can't believe your no longer in l.i. I was hoping to see you someday just to shake your hand. You are such an inspiration to myself. Pls let me know if there are any hero's like yourself left here on the island. Would love to follow them as I will continue to follow you. Hope Ben didn't have much issues with the move pertaining to friends and a good education system. My best wishes to you and the family and citizens of Colorado should be grateful to have someone like yourself there to help protect there rights. Keep up the great job guys.

  33. It cracks me up every time I see a squad car with duty to protect on it haha. Because the Supreme Court has ruled over and over again that the police have no Duty whatsoever to protect you or to save your life. People have already tried suing police departments a thousand times over for not responding to a call fast enough period. It got them nowhere. They have no duty to protect.

  37. Gad, I I haven't been in that area in decades. Air Force Academy is there…visited it many decades ago… Live up in Northern Colorado. Low humidity keep the cases of arthritis down…unlike Long Island, where I was born and raised.

  38. Do you ever come to Florida? We have a lot of crooked cops who think they are above the law. Would love to have you come down and you are more than welcome to stay at any of my many hotels I own in Tampa. Complimentary on us.
