Albuquerque Police Officers responded to reports of a stolen vehicle when they noticed a woman was panicking. She told officers her dog wasn’t breathing and appeared to be choking. Officers helped resuscitate the animal and help save its life. The pup was found to be choking on some cheese which officers were able to help dislodge from his windpipe. The Albuquerque Fire Department was also called along with an emergency veterinarian. The pup was checked out and is expected to make a full recovery.

  1. Thankful that officers are willing to do this kind of work. Though it's a dog, not a person, they still wanted to help! To some (myself included), our dog is our world. The poor lady was so worried about her pup, and the officers did what they could to help her and the puppy. Love it! Thank you officers who are willing to serve and protect anyone!

  2. I've done CPR, A.R, and Heimlich to people, dogs, and cats. By far the most gut wrenching are the pets. Note, all the pets survived.

  3. We lost our puppy when he choked 😪 I wish we would’ve had police there for us we rushed him to the vet I gave him cpr but he didn’t make it so glad these officers were there xx

  4. Well, even as a volunteer firefighter, I’d turn out to help. Glad the officers paid attention in training and had common sense. Poor little furry fucker!

Oxygen would help. Maybe some suction to try to get it out but best bet is icy, rush to vet.

Sometimes I think ER’s should be ‘pet friendly’ most ‘animals’ are cleaner than humans. Only thing I could suggest is take the owner and the officer in the back of one of the cars (your standing there anyway) and rush the little bugger to the vet.

Little guy would have enjoyed a bath later after having all his puke, spit and piss rubbed over him.

Still would have felt better than choking and dying on the gutter I guess 🙂

Well done, I hope the cops who were there that night see how fucking awesome they look helping the little tacker

  5. Animal lives matter!!!! I'm jk, I mean they do, I'm just saying – Go Blue! Good job officers 🙂

  6. Once had a relative's pug in my car for a quick errand and he wolfed down a chicken biscuit so fast his stomach and food pipe were completely full. I had to actually squeeze him like a tube of toothpaste and then he pushed the rest out in one foot and a half extrusion.
Then I had to keep him from eating it right up again. I'm glad this little guy made it, too.

  7. Good job but don’t you think putting a huge ass light in his face would be bade.🤔👮‍♀️

  8. There's a reason you don't feed puppies solid food… they scoff that shit down super fast without chewing much and choke on shit
